I was taking a look through the games wishlist and I saw some duplicate entries. Not sure if anyone has noticed this. A good example is Wing Commander: Prophecy. It is also listed as Wing Commander V: Prophecy. There are others as well. Is this being noticed when selecting new titles to add to the line up?

You can always "Report this wish: Duplicate", and the conficting wishes will be merged.
As to how much the wishlist influences things around here, that's debatable

We do read 'em, and they're helpful for going to the publishers with.

Have you seen a merge? I know I reported about a half dozen duplicates and a few weeks later they still existed. Its kind of my big gripe... we went to a nice new layout, new "functional" wishlist and it doesn't seem like its kept up. Lots of games in the wrong place, duplicates, some jokes are entries, etc.

I'd love to think its being kept up, but I'm still seeing the duplicates from the original launch of the new site from a few months ago :(

For example:

You can vote for System Shock 2 or System Shock II
You can vote for Myst IV revelation or Myst IV revelations (one is plural)
The OP provided another example.
There are an absolute plethora of game names in the site features sections (duplicating from the games section as well)

:(

Actually, I have seen, which was mostly identifiable from the comments. One was something like
"Vote for the other one, which has more votes than this, it's spelled II instead of 2" or something like that. The merges do happen, but not that often, since I guess they have to see all the reports, verify that they are indeed a duplicate, and then do the merging process, which may or may not be as simple as 2 buttons.
So just wait, they will be merged (eventually)

Here's an example of one.

Go grim fandan, grim fan go.

There have been a few merges. Part of what's pending on that is the person who's supposed to be managing our community. Once he starts--in the middle of July--we'll start to see a little more care there.

nice! good news! ;) I should have offered my services. I have no training and things are often worse once I've touched them... but I would work for GOGs!
