elus89: I only ask that as the distributor they bear some responsibility, just as I would be expected to apologize if I worked at retail and couldn't meet a customer's deadlines because of a shipping delay.
avatar
JMich: But they have apologized for not offering the DLCs. See and [url=http://www.gog.com/forum/strike_suit_zero/dlc/post16]here.
Also, see kickstarter update where the developers say that the DLCs will be delayed for GOG. Though they also said that [url=http://strikesuitzero.com/forum/forum/bridge/strike-suit-zero-discussion/266-strike-suite-zero-heroes-of-the-fleet-dlc-on-gog-anytime-soon-nt]there is a restriction outside of their control, thus the reason I mentioned Kerberos and Haemimont not having issues with releasing their DLCs on time.

elus89: Thanks for your sarcasm, btw.

JMich: Thank you for recognizing the sarcasm, and apologies if I offended. Some of the people in my workplace can be quite frustrating at times, and I unfortunately took out my frustration on the GOG forums instead of punching a pillow. Would be weird if I had a pillow at work though...
Thanks for pointing out their apologies (though I would note it's not prominent). TET's post does also remind and serve to clarify that some of the blame is on GOG.com's shoulders, though the reason for the total delay time is still pretty unclear. Working on "DRM-free DLC compatibility" seems odd, but I'm not personally too fussed to get a total explanation, though I can understand if some are.

Apology accepted and forgiven. Consider a portable seat cushion? ;P

elus89: I'll grant you that a refund is not really a very plausible suggestion (a very nice gesture that has been offered by some such as GOG.com in the past, but mostly not a reasonable expectation), but I don't think that the nature of what was being offered as a suggestion was that they will follow through with all of them, but rather that they do something tangible in the consumer's eyes that acknowledges their less-than-equitable treatment.
In the case of SSZ, apparently it was that they offered the two DLCs for free for those who bought the game on release, because they acknowledged there will be a delay due to GOG (ie. because they didn't yet have a system in place to sell the DLC separately). So in that sense, I see Immoli's complaints and suggestions even less relevant. I think offering the DLCs for free is pretty tangible, right?
Yep, you're right, they're quite tangible. But Immoli's complaints are relevant, even if only minor quibbles. GOG.com wouldn't have offered the free DLCs, if they hadn't agreed to their legitimacy and anticipated them somewhat.

Overall I felt the sentiment was of consumer advocacy and not martyrdom or entitlement; That is to say that I'm not particularly dissatisfied, but I do think GOG.com had reasonable room to improve.
Does GOG have any plans to make the Strike Suit Zero soundtrack available for purchase?

I'm trying to avoid buying it on Steam.
Great timing on ending the deal on this DLC, GOG. I bought the main game in the High-5 last night and went to get the DLC this morning, and suddenly it's back up to full price. Shame you couldn't extend this offer for at least the duration of the High-5 sale. Especially as I suspect there will be a sale further down the line where the DLC is bundled with the main title at a bargain price, making me feel like a double fool for springing for it now.

To be fair I doubt Strike Suit Zero will be on another 80% off sale anytime soon but if it goes on a 60% off with the DLCs included my expectation would be that the people who've bought the base game would be able to purchase just the DLC with the discount.

Personally I would've kept up the discount for the duration of the base game's sale period, but whatever, I can't play it 'till I get a better compy anyway.

Wow, you mean BornReady actually got off their lazy asses and did something?

Amazing

now all that's left is to release ALL THE OTHER CONTENT THAT STEAM HAS

You're not off the hook just yet, BornReady, we are watching you like a hawk and don't think that with this DLC release we are going to excuse your Incompetence and revolting attitude towards the people who bought your game here, you have much more to do to make it up to the GOG community

S.C
So hang on, this "other content" is an art book and a soundtrack that you have to pay extra for on Steam? Well no wonder it's not here, GOG didn't support different editions of games until very recently, do you expect them to give the collectors edition content for free here?

I certainly don't expect them to release the content for free. I'm not into art books so I don't mind that it isn't available on GOG.

I'm willing to pay for the soundtrack on GOG.
I have no intention of buying Strike Suit Zero on Steam just to buy the soundtrack.

But the option for a special edition didn't exist on GOG at the time of the game's release. It does now so it might be worth explaining that to them.
