I thought i'd post this here in case it happens here too.
What the hell is a 'dickbag'?

I mean the logical answer would be a bag of dicks, or a bag used for storing dicks, but that seems like kind of a strange insult.

Well there's a game I won't be buying.

Uncertain but context indicates "dickbag" is a pejorative, captain.

Thanks for the post, and for the screenshots in-case they try to sweep it under the rug later on.

That company sounds like absolute unprofessional garbage to the core.

Apparently she got something in her panties. Maybe her dickbag.
It sounds like the reviewer has a long history with the company (possibly a personal one) and is being dismissed for troublesome behaviour elsewhere. Problem with that is flagging the review puts the review itself on trial (according to screenshots circulating the web) for violating community guidelines when it appears to do no such thing. This situation certainly doesn't look any better when you see the guy has logged in 85 hours of playtime.
Apparently, it wasn't DB who flagged the "review": https://twitter.com/Murderblonde/status/547802458286981120

Edit: correction, turns out it was a DB dev, after all: https://twitter.com/Murderblonde/status/547836254591934464

I don't know who are the good or bad guys here but trying to remove the review is probably the worst thing anyone could have done. Haven't they heard of the Streisand effect?

No prob Has i said i don't want them to pull this crap here on GOG. The screenshots are from the Steam Community so i can't take credit for them.

Steam was quick to take Paranautical Activity off when the dev made a death threat & yet they let dev's act like this to people who buy their games.
Cool, I was actually hoping for one last breakdown before the end of the year.
Oh, and here's the official DB statement: http://steamcommunity.com/app/239840/discussions/0/627456359689053892/
From that official statement:
The review contains only one line about the actual game, and instead focuses on the bugs in the game"
Granted, it isn't much of a review and is really more of a polite rant, but if a developer doesn't realize that bugs - and how they affect playability - fall under the purview of 'reviewable material'...
"it does not mention that DoubleBear has released four patches within two weeks addressing many of the major issues."
And you, as the developer, don't see "major issues" as a reason to delay the release until they're fixed?
Goddamn. Brian needs to tell Annie to shut up: those thoughts of hers are Amy's Baking Company -level of insane. I mean, I guess I sensed a sort of "arrogant" vibe of the devs right from the get-go (when the project had only begun, at least publicly visibly) but seeing as Brian Mitsoda played an important role in creating VTM: The Bloodlines, a vastly underrated game, I let it slide. But after witnessing the huge amount of bugs in the game with my own eyes...I can't say the guy who posted the review (as of now known as 'the dickbag') is wrong. The game really is exactly the bug-ridden mess as he explained it. This, combined with the atrocious response that Annie woman had, made me lose absolutely all respect I had for DoubleBear. God. Damn. I had really high hopes in this game while it was in development, but now I'm kinda ashamed even owning it. If anyone thinks I'm exaggerating: the game was labelled as "release" version when it's hardly even beta. This fact, when combined with Annie's comments....well, I rather I hadn't given them my support via backing their Kickstarter.

But...uh...happy holidays, anyway?
