So far I`ve had problems, nothing too serious, but enough that I`ve taken no more then twenty steps in game lol
Still trying to sort things out for now.

Camera sensitivity is through the roof, even on lowest settings, despite my mouse not having that on any other game. G600 software to the rescue, to some extent.

That was with barely moving the mouse a centimetre...

Frame rate is solid, albeit stuck at only 60fps.
The UI is clearly made for consoles & very little has been done to aid PC users.
Even small things like clicking the red slider to alter the gamma does nothing, you have too click the tiny arrows to either side, for everything.
btw, if anyone`s created a char` & wants to delete it, the (yet again) controller options at the bottom don`t seem to do anything, you have to right click the char` & the option is there.

Load screens are super fast though, couple paragraphs of text on each, you`re lucky to read five words ;)
What has everyone else thought so far?

Oh & btw, a gift from Durante:

So about that PC is the lead platform...

At least it's not an abomination like like the first game. I'll get the inevitable special edition.

At least it's not locked to the visual sandpaper setting of 30FPS like the first one. I have about 80 hours running on the first one (two games) and it still drives me crazy.

The sensitivity thing sounds a bit unsettling.
I miss the old DS1 menus but that might just be the familiarity talking.
Does what pass for a story from Dark Souls1 link to no.2 ?
Sorted the sensitivity, turns out when pressing escape to go back to previous ui page, it just kicks you back to the game & resets anything you changed.
It turns out it`s a crap shoot with trying to click mouse on Back, Accept options on the ui with some parts not working at all.

It could be me just having bad luck, but I somehow doubt it.

well, for the most part no. it's set an indeterminate amount of time (hundreds? thousands? of years) after relinking the first flame in the first game, in an entirely different kingdom which fought a war with the giants. But there's a lot of debates going on about reincarnation. And there's some things related to the dlc (though I never got around to playing it >_>).

It reminds me more of Shadow Tower.

i thought this was going to be a pc game not a shitty port like the last one
It`s really off putting at the minute.
Perhaps I`m on one of my (when aren`t I?) grumpy days, but this....

In a game that was allegedly made on & for pcs.
Hope Durante or someone can come up with something that the devs should`ve done to start with.

/PC-Master race mode disengaged... ;)

Looks like steam or From have gone goofed...

Didn`t see this coming!

I am playing with a controller as I just can't do Souls games with KB+M for some reason and the only time I had camera issues was in a boss fight where you really need to snap the camera around quickly.

I am still miffed with the changes to the invasion system as I really wanted a full red eye orb to spam and invade but I am limited to cracked red eye orbs since there is not permanent invasion item like in the last game :/
I'm using the 360 pad and I have a problem: the game changes my target. I target an enemy, attack him and usually if there are other enemies in the area, my target changes itself, screwing my attack (and I usually day after that).

I'm near the end of the game, and this is harder then DS1. I beat DS1 alone, here I ask help for almost every boss :D
I use keyboard/mouse, despite it having taken far too long to get it set up right, I`m sort of used to it now.
Thank gawd for G600 though, can macro keys on a profile for easier jump attacks et al.
I do have a controller but refuse to use it ;)

Oddly, not had any bother with targets swapping until today.
Wonder if the patch changed something...
... and many people virtually died (more than once).

If there were to be a truly DRM Free version, I'd definitely be playing that, believe me :)
