I'm looking forward to the live action version on Cowboy Bebop, considering at least 20% of any given episode is gratuitous close-ups of Faye...

Starkrun: Yes Evangelion is still a go....

Im pretty sure it isn't, there was a lot of fake promo's but it ended up only being a mock up vid by some shitty actors.
However they have already completely re-animated the first series & will be re-animating the entire series with a new 3rd ending... highly recommended!

Honorbuddy: berserk is a awesome anime but for a particular audience only, most people wont like it... if you didn't like the first episode dont bother with the rest.
EDIT:
Oh, and The Berserk Manga is much better than the Anime like Jotun said, however its far more explicit which put me off reading the entire lot.

Why... does anime with the most annoying protagonist ever get a remake?

Epic violent mech combat, what better reason is there?
...why aren't all movies made with it?

If ti was ABOUT it, I would have no complaints, but it's mostly about protagonist whining he has to go into battle, whining he has to whine, whining he has no life, actual battle, and then whining about the fact he had to be in the said battle

honorbuddy: Is Berserk good or not? I own it, and watched the first episode, but was left with this huge blegh feeling.

It's definitely one of my fav. animes, and the only one I've bothered to read the corresponding manga to as well. The first episode is pretty weird, it takes place after the main story, I wasn't that impressed by it either after my first watch.
To be honest the anime doesn't do a very good job of translating the manga into video format, but at least it has a cool soundtrack.
It's worth a try if nothing else. :)
The only anime that's even remotely like Cowboy Bebop I've found is Black Lagoon and by remotely I'm stretching it.
Anyone found a better candidate?
To keep on topic. If you like Cowboy Bebop have a look at Black Lagoon. :)

Well, I already paid for it, so I am definitely going to watch it, the real question is how much I'll enjoy it, hopefully it grows on me.
Ok, to stay on topic, I don't know if it is true, but a lot of times people say that Outlaw Star is similar to Cowboy Bebop. Although then there are other people that say the ones that make those claims are idiots.

Cowboy Bebop? Moar leik, Firefly anime clone, but seriously, this came first and is pretty good too, lots of standalone episodes with 1 overarching plot that reveals itself over the course of the series.

ovoon: I have seen a few animes, and tried many. I am thinking about getting into this one because the intro song is so freakin cool. Any of you oldschool anime watchers like this?

jimbob0i0: I have all of Cowboy Bebop on my PC - series and movie. It's definitely one of my favourite animes. I watched it in the original japanese with english subtitles though (tv and movie like that) and seeing it on Bravo with the english dubbing is... weird ;)

The dub is actually better than the sub for this one.

Outlaw star? The only thing it have in common with Cowboy Bebop is a crew on a spaceship. The atmosphere and everything else is very far from CB. It's aimed at a much younger audience for example.
Moar Leik? Never heard of it. Now I have to find it. :)
Edit: Can't find it on IMDB.

Please tell me you are joking about the "moar liek" thing. It's 4chan "shorthand" for "more like".

Ha ha I am not. :D
I am an idiot regarding all that stuff with anime except the actual TV show or film.
Hope it's better then the dragon ball z movie. I'm not sure how Japanese live action movies based on anime do? I don't think they do to bad.

That Deathnote movie was ok.

I think it's good that some have been able to avoid having their minds poisoned until now. I think it's bad that it happened on GOG forums.
