Birthday Bullfrog Bonus Bonanza!

GOG.com 5th birthday celebration continues and we have some more gifts for you! This time, it's a nice pack of add-ons to the classic Bullfrog Productions titles in our EA catalog. There's plenty of previously not included content being added as you read this to five prominent Bullfrog games. If you bought them them previously, the updated versions will become available to you shortly. If you don't yet have those memorable classics in your collection, now you have some extra incentive to get them. Let's see what games get the Level-up treatment today, shall we?

Syndicate receives the American Revolt mission pack taking the future corporate executive work to a whole new level of awesome, thus becoming Syndicate Plus. Similarly, the fantasy underworld management game, Dungeon Keeper, becomes Dungeon Keeper Gold, with extra added evil in the form of the Deeper Dungeons expansion. Hidden Worlds have been discovered in the Arabian desert, making Magic Carpet into Magic Carpet Plus. now invites you to the Promised Lands filled with new challenges, and [url=http://www.gog.com/game/populous_the_beginning]Populous: The Beginning has yet some Undiscovered Worlds in store for you.

That's it! Five excellent, content-filled expansions await you in our classic Bullfrog titles. Again, if you bought any of these titles previously, you should now have access to the newly extended version without any additional fee. Have fun!
Great, thanks a lot, GOG!

Many thanks to people at EA who made that happen. Probably the same people who brought us other EA expansions :)
It's great news. I haven't been able to play any of the Bullfrog add-ons till now! :) Thank you so much GOG!
Great news! Thank you, GOG and EA!!!
Populous 3 still doesn't work in Windows 8.

Yeah I know it only says up to 7 on the product page but let's not forget about the whole "make old games work on new systems" business idea. They never made it work properly in Windows 7 either.
I can't help but agree with all the others above me. This extra free content is what keeps GOG.com top of the service charts for me.

It's a shame that everyone is jumping on the DLC wagon, but at least GOG.com is giving people choice, and I'd like to see that future DLC has an opportunity to be added as free content to existing games in the future.

I, for one, wouldn't mind seeing certain games become classics once their development cycle is over and their publishers have moved on to newer titles, and all their DLC be given as free content at that point.

Of course, my collectors' gene will probably have me purchasing DLC in a suitable sale unless I really like the game, as holding out for three or so years for the game to become a classic might be a bit too long for me... :D
Woohoo! The Magic Carpet extra levels are worth it. They are more of the same, but that same is so good anyway.

Dungeon Keeper: Deeper Dungeons missions are somewhat irritating to me.

Dunno about this new version, but to get Populous 3 working on my computer I had to put a video DLL file in the install folder (due to me having an ATI card), otherwise the game wouldn't even start

Fever_Discordia: The only expansion I can think of that are missing now are the Tomb Raider ones (Unfinished Business etc.) which are missing from the Steam versions too...
There are at least some Ubisoft titles too, e.g. Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon, which are missing expansions. And someone mentioned Castles, and I recall there were others too.

And one thing that is out of GOG's control: e.g. Populous has some Amiga-only expansion pack(s) too. But since GOG sells the PC-version...
Cool, thanks for the extra content :)
Thanks!

Oh yeah, I vaguely remember one that made everything look like Lego!
Nice, now we finally can play the complete version of these titles

Wishbone: YES! Good job, GOG! Dungeon Keeper, here I come! :-D
I'm totally stuck in one of the Deeper Dungeons expansion missions. I have no idea why some of my rare powerful minions suddenly feel annoyed, and decide to leave. That's one thing I hated about the game, sometimes bad things happened without you really understanding why they happened, ie. what you were supposed to do differently.
so Populous is still missing an expansion?

Could GOG inform us if any of the Extras for the Bullfrog games have changed (new manuals?) ? Just making sure.
