How can you NOT challenge a perfect, immortal machine?!

System Shock™ 2, the cult classic FPS/RPG Sci-Fi techno-thriller with elements of Cronenbergian surreal body horror, is available 75% off on GOG.com. That's only $2.49 for the next 24 hours!

We don't really have to remind you how awesome System Shock™ 2 is, do we? It was right on top of GOG.com's community wishlist with over 36,000 votes, it is on practically each and every "greatest games of all time" list, it remains an inspiration for game developers to this day! Suffice to say, it was high-fives all around the company when we were finally able to release this timeless gem. Some of us were like: "Awesome, this is still the best Sci-Fi horror game ever made!" And others were like: "Sure, but don't forget how influential the ground-breaking mix of suspense, role-playing, and FPS was back in the day!" And some of us just cried: "Marry me, SHODAN!"

System Shock™ 2 remains one of the crowning achievements of the computer gaming industry, a piece of art that belongs with the best thrillers pop-culture has to offer across all media, on par with David Cronenberg's body horror films, or Philip K. Dick's chilling techno-tales.

Get ready for the ultimate journey aboard star ship VonBraun, you pathetic creature of meat and bone! Get System Shock™ 2 for only $2.49 on GOG.com. The offer lasts until Tuesday, September 10, 9:59AM GMT.
If you don't already own this game, SHAME ON YOU!!

Buy it now and make up for your apparent lack of vision.
Shouldn't have bought it when it came out: haven't even played with it yet (much).
This game is fantastic modded.

But I'll never understand what the deal with weapon breakage is in this game. It's a futuristic setting yet weapons break like it's the 17th century.
Bought it. It's not like anyone has a choice at that price.

Also bought 5 games in the other promo and from what I'm reading I'll be needing to recharge my debit card in the next 5 weeks.

Stooner: You're looking very handsome today...
And it's dead already... Thank you for your kind words, good sir ;)
I really hope System Shock 1 comes to GOG soon. I hate playing games out of order
My budget allows for this only, sadly. But from the special promo I only had wishlisted Primordia, anyway.
People still don't have it here? The way it shot up the bestseller list earlier this year you'd think there was an autobuy option.

Don't be sad, you don't need any other game than SS2.
God, how could I not?
Well, I should name this day: "The Release of MyWallet Shock 2,49"
GOG is communicating with me through my dreams! This is the absolute truth, I woke up dreaming that GOG had System Shock 2 as their Monday sale, so I thought "There's no way that my dream is right, but if it is I'm gonna buy it."

So I went from my bed to my computer desk and sat down and almost crapped my pants when I saw that System Shock 2 was indeed the Monday sale! GET OUT OF MY HEAD GOG, DO NOT USE MY MIND FOR ADVERTISING PURPOSES!

LoL, j/k I spend so much time reading the forums on this site every day that I do consent to you using my dreams for advertising.

System Shock 2 is not really a true sequel to SS1. At the last minute, when EA stepped on board to be publisher of SS2, some parts were changed and the game was renamed to make it have some connections with the original game, but the 2 are very different.

That's what I said after hundreds of hours of Mass Effect, sadly it didn't last very long indeed :P
What's the catch? ;)
