Chaotic evil.

Postal 2 Complete, the legendary sandbox of sadistic stunts and mindless mayhem with no political correctness whatsoever, is available 60% of on GOG.com. That's only $3.99 for the next 24 hours!

Video games can play a vital role in shaping the future generations. This is a good thing! There are games that can convey many important values, like friendship, loyalty, selflessness, and honor. Games that can improve our cognitive skills and enhance our logical thinking. Games that can teach you a thing or two about things like economy and enterprise. Games that will make you more environmentally aware and more sensitive to social issues. Games that, in short, will make you a better person. This, however, is not one of those games. Not by a long shot.

Postal 2 Complete is all about mayhem. You're given an opportunity to blow off some steam in a sandbox environment of a comically depicted town. The game's imagery of violence is very graphic, but the over-the-top presentation leaves no doubt: this is only a game, and it does not even try to be realistic. Nonetheless, Postal 2 became the poster boy for video game violence and as such it made a place for itself in the gaming hall of eternal fame. The version we provide comes with the Share the Pain multiplayer extension and the Apocalypse Weekend campaign add-on, so you get to experience the game in all of its (in)glory.

Get the psycho-party started, get Postal 2 Complete on GOG.com, for only $3.99. The promo lasts until Tuesday, March 12, at 10:59AM GMT.
Already have it. Loved this game!

tinyE: Thanks to everyone. I was planning on gettng both Friday but I was hesitant to pay full price for P2. I still think I will pick up P1 on Friday despite owning in on ROM if for nothing else than the bonus stuff. Cheers again mrking58.

On a slightly related note, I hope there isn't a way for someone to log on and look at my game shelf. If so I can just hear them calling the men in the white coats right now.
I am actually interested now what kind of games do you own...
Anyone who still doesn't have it, buy it ! Trust me, there's nothing more relaxing than mindless extreme violence :D

Also, be sure to download "A Week in Paradise", after you play it vanilla first:

Pretty much everything. I was kind of joking because I do own a lot of things that might be considered by uptight people as "brainless crap" which I'll admit it is, but it's "fun brainless crap"! When I'm not playing Carmageddon or Blood or Postal you can find me going more cerebral with stuff like NWN, STARS!, and the SIMS. I get a kick when people look at my DVD collection and do a double take when they see :"Forrest Gump" right next to "Faces of Death".
I hope everyone who is going to buy Postal 2 is aware that it's not exactly the fun personality test or a satisfying carnage sandbox that the game's fans make it out to be. Postal 2 is mean-spirited, contrived and has horrible gameplay. Trying to avoid bloodshed is tedious and unrewarding, and there are people trying to kill you at every corner. The combat mechanics are some of the worst in any FPS game.

XD The very fact that a game called Postal even HAS THE OPTION of avoiding bloodshed (however difficult) is a crime! I'm guessing you never played the 1st one; the only way to advance was to kill a predetermined percentage of people on each level. As far as I know you could advance without fire bombing the parade but what would have been the fun in that? Oh man, I can see it now, piles of dead burnt bodies, trombones, and lost hope! Now that was a game!

Why would you want to avoid bloodshed in Postal 2 of all games?

The makers of Postal 2 actually made it as a big point way back when the game was published originally. There was much controversey because of how violent the game was, so they said that game can be played trhough without violence, wich is, as fair I know, a pretty tedious and badly implemented. I doubt many people have tried it, I know I got bored with the nonviolent way pretty quickly and I'd say the non-violent path is also impossible in most missions of the game.

And yes, I do think Postal is a bad game, not because it's offensive, but because it's not a very good game.

Agreed. I love it, really love it, but I would NEVER argue that it is a good game.

You probably think it's full of things like Manhunt/Harvester/various Japanese-only titles......but it's actually full of MLP games(no, not those you sickos, lol) and other girly stuff.

I think it's a good game in some regards, but it's definitely not a very good game.
Awful game. I would warn people against buying this. Too many people giving this game favourable comments, it would pain me to think someone bought this based on their comments. There are much better sandbox and FPS games out there to bother with this one. All the violence is just a gimmick, its only mentioned to give the game publicity it doesn't deserve and hide how crap the underlying game is. This game nearly made me quit gaming altogether. If you really must try this out, I recommend you get it somewhere else first and then buy it if you like it.

This actually makes me want to try it just to see how tacked on the non-violent path really is. Regardless of the quality of the game, I've always been curious to play it due its strange place in gaming history. In that respect, I'm glad to see it's on GOG and being promoted.
