Do you want to make the world a slightly better place and be rewarded some games for being an awesome human being? It's simple: choose a charity you like from the three we have here (, Worldbuilders, and Gaming for Good), pick out 3 games you like out of 13 offered, pay $5 or more, and we will give 100% of your donation to charity*! You can also pick more than 3 games, and your minimum donation will be raised accordingly. Want to donate more? No problem--you can set the amount manually. Don't need the games, or already have them? Select the "Gift this order" option at the checkout, and make some other gamer happy. Again, your choice of charity to help:

We've added three more titles to this special promo selection, thanks to awesome indie developers, who volunteered their games to take part in this charitable action. The newly added games are: by Analgesic Productions, a psychological retro adventure game with nostalgic action-RPG feel and deep story, bundled with MP3 soundtrack, Escape Goat by Gemini Rue by Wadjet Eye Games, a gritty neo-noir point-and-click adventure game masterfully mixing Sci-Fi and crime mystery genres. Thank you for making this happen, guys!
Our whole-hearted thanks also go to: Introversion Software (Darwinia), Subset Games (FTL: Faster Than Light), Tiger Style Games (Waking Mars), Amanita Design (Botanicula), Instant Kingdom (Driftmoon), Northway Games (Incredipede), Digital Game Factory (Creatures: Village), Might & Delight (Pid), Daedalic Entertainment (The Whispered World), and Oddworld Inhabitants (Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee).. All of the devs are receiving nothing for their games in this charity but the good karma that comes from doing a good deed. Take a moment and tweet, facebook, or email them and tell them how much you appreciate their participation in this, and then you'll be extra awesome yourself. :)
*GOG.com is paying out some money as well; for every $1 donated, it costs us about $0.25 to cover the credit card fees, taxes, and other fees to make sure that literally 100% of what you donate goes to charity. So, let's say you want to donate $10. We'll add about $2.50 on top of that, to make sure that all of your donated money reaches the charity of your choice.

Ghorpm: Too late, I didn't take one. But at least two people have seen it (mistermumbles and me) so you can trust us. And if you don't - well, that's your problem - we KNOW it was there so we don't really care ;P
Oh, you do care. :)
Great promo guys. Not necessarily my choice of games but I grabbed 3 anyway and topped a little extra (not much, but hopefully help).

Just wondering, how long till these games appear on the account. Think somehow there was a disconnect between the start and end of my transaction as it never fully returned me to GOG, just a page that never loaded.

I got the email from PayPal for the payment but no email from GOG and looking through prior purchases I see I've normally gotten an email within a few moments.

Not worried I know the GOG Team are great folks and it'll get sorted if it turns out I need to contact them. I was just curious if this Charity promo was slowing the normal processing.
credit card fees.....
The credit card companys shoud do some charity as well.
Evry single charity donation campaign i have supported they charge people giving money to a good cause.
Gredy damn bastards.
Gonna buy a game to chip in annyways, but it kinda works againt the insensitive to give money for a good cause, just saying.

Kudos to GoG for matching the sum up though
And thanks to devs that were willing to give up some money as well.

Wonder why they took the counter down?

HypersomniacLive: +1 for the "100% goes to charity" part, well done GOG!

So, from the following list which one to chose and why:
- Pid
- Creatures Village
- Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
Oddworld mate, it's quirky brilliant platform fun, and great storytelling. You'll probably see some of the game mechanics filched by later games, but rest assure that many of them got their start here. Plenty of gaming time as well as challenge, and altogether pleasing.
nice one GOG!
well done :)

Thanks Sinistar - "great storytelling" and "quirky" hit the right notes.

Got any thoughts about which one between the other two? I know they're not directly comparable games - probably why I can't decide.

gbaz69: Oh oh, do you guys plan on adding more games before the charity event is over?
I know you probably had this planed for a short while, and did all the contacts you could, before launching this event.
But please consider still adding games to list, I have to get Defender's Quest one of these days.

ne_zavarj: The only game that i don't own from the list is Darwinia , but i pass this offer .

gbaz69: You are not filling the void in your shelf... your OCD compells you... to buy Darwinia+FTL:Faster Than Light+PID.. to gift the rest....
*mesmerizing swaying watch
Pre-order the second one and get the first too: http://www.defendersquest.com/2/?page=preorder
Congrats on 5 years, GOG! This is my favorite place to buy new (old?) games, so here's hoping there are many more years of great games ahead. :]

And my hat goes off to the developers for helping this charitable deal! I got three games I was missing and got to do a good deed at the same time. Awesome!

I have Pid but have not played it. It's in my queue though, especially as it has gamepad support built in. I've heard good things about it.

Creatures Village is the only game from the whole promotion I don't have, nor have any interest in having. While I quite like tinkering with genetics and the idea of indirect control, something about this game just puts me off. Probably the whole virtual pet angle, as none of those games where it's just sandbox raising and tinkering with digital beings appeal to me. Those need to have story and purpose to hook me.

Games should show up immediately. I would suggest to contact support, they will fix it for you.

As PeterAlf said, you should contact support, even if just to get your receipt. You could also try visiting the account refresh page to see if the games appear on your shelf, but contacting support is the way to go.
