Too bad. I "googled" around, and the solutions are always the same: To install the latest Windows Installer, and if that not fixes the problem, the second solution is to use the Steam Fix or to clean the registry manually.

Still, is a weird error. Well, you tried! Back to UFO then...

I've always been slightly skeptical of those who say steam is a problem waiting to happen.
I've always found it very reliable.
Colour me slightly more enlightened....

I've never heard of this problem before until now... You can still contact Support on Steam, but that could take more than just an afternoon... :(
