Another very interesting looking indie game in the making.

It is made by Black Powder Games, and is currently in its alpha stages, with a possibility to get it on Steam Early Access.

This seems to be noteworthy for many reasons, not only the lineage of it's creators, but also the way it seems to breaking away from many gaming conventions.

Almost thought it was about the people who gave away the humble bundle keys.

Seems 17 - 18th century is starting to be the cool thing lately. I can't complain. The game looks awesome, definitely on my watch now (which involves avoiding all information about the game until release)

I tried this game to see how it worked as a alpha version and it's promising, the black and white overlay is impressive and makes you feel entirely different than your usual first person action game. I'm going to wait until it's finished to continue to play.

Anybody think there is a chance of Betrayer coming here to GOG, and does anybody know if the version you can buy directly from the developer is DRM-free?

The developer's site sells the Steam version. No DRM-free version exists (at least right now).

For some reason I thought they had a standalone version, ah well. Here's hoping Betrayer eventually comes to GOG, it's looks like a great game.

My understanding is that it is a series of fed ex quests with a large side order of backtracking.

Sounds like the average roleplaying game then haha. Still, it looks great visually in my opinion, and it seems to have a unique game mechanic (stealth being tied to the wind).
