TheEnigmaticT: Edit: Didn't even see Orcishgamer's post. Bad TheEnigmaticT for not reading the whole thread before posting. :/
Doh, neither did I.

I was actually holding off on reading this thread at all until I decided whether or not to 'fess up to my own works of fiction.

I have written a few stories, but they are part of a shared universe at a webzine I used to frequent. As such, the stories assume that the reader is familiar with the universe, and so might not be too well received by people who are not.

Anyway, the webzine is called Aphelion, and focuses on fantasy and science fiction. It is primarily meant as a place where writers can practice their craft and get feedback from the readers (who are often other writers). It's free to read, and doesn't pay the writers either. As such, it exists for the love of writing.

My two stories are here:
Sociology Experiment
Deus Ex Machina

Deus Ex Machina is the sequel to Sociology Experiment, so if any of you do want to read them, read them in order. Also be advised that both stories deal heavily with religion, so if you are a religious person and is easily offended by the writings of others on the subject, please skip these stories. You won't like them, I promise.
... Looks like my writing killed the thread. I knew it wasn't fantastic, but I didn't think it was that bad :-/
I write fiction, as well as articles on games for the web.

Currently working on a novella/novel, which I hope to publish in a few months time on Kindle. Would like to go the traditionally published route, but don't have time to sit around and wait due to financial reasons, though self-publishing is nowhere close to being a safe bet.

As for what i write? Anything. Currently, I'm working on a dark fantasy novel and a supernatural horror/thriller one set in the modern day with a bit of romance. Probably have the supernatural one done first.

You can find bits of my writing here:

Particulary Gus (though the first scene isn't up to snuff) and A Vampire's Longing. Don't recommend checking the second draft of Jiggly out. First one at least has the language/point of view going for it, which I ruined with the second draft due to ripping the point of view out.

Edit: I currently have a blog on Brighthub.com which I intend to use in an effort to promote my novel later and such, though it doesn't have much activity yet. http://www.brighthub.com/members/dancw.aspx

The blog can be found on the hubfolio section of my profile.

MrWilli: I am just wondering who rights fiction? Just curious because I need to read and I feel cheap. :)

TheEnigmaticT: Published twice with fiction, once with poetry (blech), and hundreds of times with non-fiction if we're counting press releases and interviews. :P

But the real reason I jumped in here is to recommend the Baen Free Library, with litterally hundreds of fantastic free epubs. I've made extensive use of it on my Kindle since I moved to Warsaw, and I've bought a good dozen or so books from them to encourage them to keep giving away free copies because it's awesome.

Eh, I hardly ever do, especially if I've been drinking (which is most days:) ).

Ack, sorry.

Try this:

Just view the threads in the fiction section and they should work. If you wish to leave any feedback, feel free to message me on here or post here though they are old works.

I write fiction when the mood hits me.

I wrote a short story series called Lord of the Hobo's, basically a bunch of hobo's that are transported into middle earth from LOTR.

People told me it was funny. :P
I read this as "Any GoG fiction writers?" Strange ideas went through my head...

While AliasAlpha always maintained his avatar was of a famous woman, the truth was...HE was the woman!

Although GameRager & Demuna were always at each other's throats on the forums...the reality was, they were always at each other's loins in real life!

...you know, just goofy sh*t like that.
