A couple of months ago, rampancy created a giveaway for a Korean physical copy of Metal Slug 2, 3 and 4. As a physical game collector myself, I was one of the participants to the giveaway and lucky enough to win. Yesterday, on the day of Christmas, I have received a box from the other side of earth with the game in it. It is in great shape, Korean box art looks very classy. There was also a very nice handwritten note included.

It was one of the rare moments for me which made me think there are still good people spreading happiness everywhere, making the world a nicer place for everyone. Thank you rampancy, for being so awesome, also making the GOG community arguably the best gaming community. Thank you for giving the best Christmas gift this year. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a great new year.

PS: Please give me a short GOG wishlist of yours, so I can at least give something in return.
the post was overshadowed by the spam attack :p
I love the digital games here on GOG, but nothing compares to a physical box!! Especially if it is a game you love and you happen to be a collector too... Have fun damien and be sure to put the box in a good place among your other physical games! ;-)

AWWW! Thanks! I’m glad the game got to you intact! And I’m glad you appreciate the note, too. :) It’s gestures like yours which really make me glad to be a part of this community. I also wish you and your family and friends a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

You really don’t have to give me anything in return…seriously! This note and your good will is more than enough for me. (If you really want to do something in return, then please pay it forward instead!)

You are awesome! God bless you!
A really nice Christmas story well done all :)
This made me smile! The GOG community in action ;-D
I'd expect nothing less than such excellent behaviour from someone who's username and icon reference such an absolute classic. Regardless, posts like this one really bring a smile to my face.
