My current game of the moment is Fallout New Vegas. Its funny, its badass, and keeps me up until 4 or 5 am. It's worth it though; all the exploration and choices really pay off. Besides, those caps, spacesuit outfits, and laser guns aren't going to hoard themselves XD

I've deemed it the "play until birds start chirping" game, as that's what happens whenever i play it.

Anyone else got a game they simply cannot stop playing until morning?

Destiny,WoW,Starcraft and pretty much every C&C game ever.
Anything that qualifies as an Action RPG. Diablo, Torchlight, Titan Quest and the like. One more level, one more item, one more monster ...
No, i no longer have the same endurance that i used to have, unless it's a multiplayer game (where i can talk with friends) i can't play it more than 1~2 hours straight.

The last time that i lost notion of time was... Terraria i think, i played a full afternoon until it was really late (nearly midnight), but if we're talking about a singleplayer game (total imersion) i have to say that it was Kotor 1.
I loved New Vegas. It was the first Fallout I played after 2. Then I played 3 and after that Tactics (Yes, a weird order, I've always played games like that since the PS2 (played Sly Cooper 2 first, just recently played Sly 1 and 3 on my brothers PS3) :D )

Right now the games keeping me up are the Thief games (pretty much all of them, 1, 2, 3, and the PS4 version). I love playing as a thief, sneaking into a house, watching people sleep, then smacking their heads so they stay asleep for another good hour or two :P

I also recently finished Red Faction 1, Great game by the way. I stayed up way to late to play that game, for several nights, and days, and nights...

Sim City 2K and 4
Transport Tycoon
Suikoden series, Fallout games, Elder Scroll games. Pretty much most RPGs for me. lol
Morrowind, Oblivion, the Fallout games, and especially Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and 4 (just one more turn...).
The Diablo games too, if I'm in a good group.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown
There's been a few recently, but the most time warp inducing game I've played over the past year has been FTL. It always begins so innocently, I'll just click on that little icon over there and do a quick 30-minute trek through just one sector. A couple blinks later, the windows are turning blue and I'm hearing birds chirping outside.

Any Paradox game can keep me up for hours on end. In fact, it's 5 am right now, and the only reason I quit is because the game became too unhistorical for my taste. I was playing Hearts of Iron 2 as Germany, it was January 1941 and Hungary and Bulgaria ganged up on Romania. I refused to take sides, so in desperation fascist Romania allied with the Soviet Union against fascist Hungary.
I was just sending troops to the Yugoslavian border in preparation for an invasion, but now I was forced to redirect my armies to the Soviet border. Since I had no allies in the Balkans I sought an early alliance with Japan, Italy and Franco's Spain, that means I'm in war with China, USA and Greece as well.
This is not the game I had in mind, but it's a rather interesting AU. I'll see if I can convince Hungary and Finland to join against the Soviets and the Romanians.
Any console game that I just purchased, I'll stay up for hours until I beat it.

Exceptions -

DMC HD (one hard part that pissed me off)
Most of the games I get on GOG, for some reason I don't play them right away.
Old xbox games that I buy for cheapz to backup.
The forum, of course!

But in all seriousness.... HoMM 3. Also potentially Terraria.

Civilization IV BASE can bring me through the night. It has this "only one more turn" feeling that I love. You can really play not only the night through but a whole weekend!
