This could include anything, as long as you have played it in your childhood, or maybe a bit later, as long as it gives you nostalgia of immense greatness, list it here. It can or doesn't have to be on GoG.

I'll start, My list:

- Uru: Ages beyond Myst http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uru:_Ages_Beyond_Myst
I used to play this game endlessly, it was just great :) Not the oldest game around, it's 2003, but it's still pretty good. (PS this was the only Myst game I have ever played, so I couldn't say much about the others)

- Morrowind http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morrowind

yes of course I believe a lot of people too have played it here :D

- Fallout http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallout_(video_game)

Loved this game, never got around to buying the second one though, but this game was great. It introduced me to RPG's as it is today.

- Treasure Cove! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treasure_Cove!

This was the very first video game I have ever played in my life, you'll believe I loved it for some odd reason :P

- Magic match

This one isn't very old, it's about 2006, but that game was surprisingly fun for me.

- Splinter cell (the first one)

This game, was just plain amazing. 'Nuff said

- Deus Ex (first one)

I loved this game to the very end. I had the most fun ever getting a completely different experience every time I played it. I really recommend this game badly to anyone who has never played it before.

- Starcraft (this and brood war)

The starcraft games were always my most preferred RTS, if any other people ever show me and RTS that's not starcraft, sure, I'll check it out. But I always end up getting bored. Starcraft would have to be my most favorite RTS. (On a side note, I also got SC2, but that really doesn't relate to the point of this topic)

- Roller coaster tycoon

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roller_Coaster_Tycoon

This game, was just amazing, I played all of them, 1, 2, and 3. One of my favorite old sandbox games.

- Duke nukem 3d

I'm pretty sure that at least the majority of people here have played this game at some point in their life, easily a good classic. (The new one just wasn't the same)

- Doom, Doom II

Yep, I'm sure a lot of people here have played this too, and all remember the times when our parents thought we would all become chainsaw murderers from these games. Well, looks that that didn't happen, but these are great classics.

- Sim City 2000

Anybody who has played this game remembers the rush of urgency when there was a fire in a neighborhood. And when you would just give up and send a bunch of UFO's to destroy your city for you, or when you would amass earthquakes. Ah the times.

- Diablo, Diablo II

One of my favorite RPG's, it's diablo and diablo 2. It's not really something I can simply explain, I just loved this game because I loved it :)

I think my list there is big enough, but I'd love to hear some games you guys like! And maybe try them out for myself!
There were many, but I guess my top ones I could list easily:

1. Planescape Torment - I feel like this game synchronized with me forever in a way. This is more then a game. I think it lives and breathes. Suffice to say I cannot wait for Tides of Numenera now.

2. Thief series - again, can't find enough words to prise awesomeness of first 2 Thief titles. I enjoyed the final part of trilogy, too, although only epilogue and Cradle mission were unforgettable. And, despite all the criticism, I also like the recent remake.

3. Legacy of Kain series - especially Soul Reavers. Those theatrical dialogues and time paradox based story - all I like. I even have Blood Omen 1 (for win 95 XD) somewhere there. I'd love to see it one day on gog though. I don't think I'll be able to run it from my hard copy.

4. Mortal Kombat 1,2,3,4,9 - pretty surprising for I'm more cRPG gamer, but I just love this fighter (played MK1 in Arcade times, the nostalgia, I'm pretty prone to that).

5. Baldur's Gate - obvious reasons.
6. Icewind Dale - because then I played everything from Black Isle.
7. Neverwinter Nights 1,2.
8. Tomb Raider series - maybe except Angel of Darkness. This one had weird bugs including Lara's right or left leg mutating into some tube.
9. Vampire the Masquerade Redemption and VtM Bloodlines.
10. Worms
11. Lemmings!

I could prolly carry on, but these came out without putting too much thought in it, so I guess it also would make them my personal bests.
