Good luck mate. Fast and hard workouts and crash diets may work for some, but I've found its the long-haul slow increase of light to moderate exercise and healthy food that works the best for me. Sure, you don't drop the weight overnight, but you've gotta trick your body into thinking what you're doing is the new norm.
I absolutely don't know what you've been through as an attempt to lose weight, so I don't know if what I am saying will be of use to you, but here are my 2 cents :

2 years ago, I stopped sport. I used to practice some sport 4 times a week, for about 8 hours a week.
Since I stopped, I gained 20% of weight.

So my best piece of advice to lose weight is : find a sport you like, which will make you have fun, and practice it regularly, you will lose weight easily.

Good luck.
Nice to see you back here.
I let myself eat a ton of chocolate uh things last week, so imma whip myself back in order with you starting today.

Good luck.
Well, for one, no need to "worry" about wallet earnings anymore as of Mar 31, eh?

Otherwise, yeah, it is indeed easy to fall out of good habits. Bad ones, on the other hand...

And good luck in your renewed endeavor.

servobeupstry: Just remember a one-hour workout is only 4% of your day, so no excuses! Good luck!
Yeah. but this doesn't factor in the 12 hours I need to recover from the workout.
All the best to you!

Talking up smoking cigarettes would probably help.

But it would have down sides.

Then there's always amputation...
Good luck! I've finally gotten more serious about weight loss. It's early days yet, but I made it a rule to stop eating after 8 pm. That ensures I go at least 10-12 hours fasting and it seems to have really helped.

All the best to you!
I'm in the same boat (other than being able to afford to run a GA) ;)

For me the two big things going into spring:
1) Work back into routine light/moderate exercise, even if I'm not fit enough at this point to go full bore it gets me off my butt
2) Portion control. I've struggle a bit again lately with either portions that are too big (obvious problem) or too small, so I feel compelled to get a serving of something else entirely, and the two combined are too much.

I'm generally eating the right things, I'm just eating a bit too much of them vs. exercise and caloric expenditure.

That's what I used to do, but injuries kinda made that unrealistic. Speaking for myself (and not xyem) I am at the point where I have to pick things based on what my body can sustain/tolerate, even if mentally/emotionally it's less fun and engaging.

But definitely, if health is no obstacle doing something one enjoys is always going to be easier and more rewarding than something that you have to drag yourself to do. ;)
be strong my friend. i need some work out too.

thnx for giveaway this would give u good motivation. i am in for that.
Good to see you again ! I thought of you some days ago because you was so motivated for months and then... whooooff ! Vanished !
I wish you the best again and my humble advice : eat everything you like but in reasonable amount ! No need to torture yourself !
Good luck, buddy! You can do this!
What I remember the most from the first thread is how good for weight loss were:
* eating popcorn
* visiting family (in my case it's the other way around)

Good luck!

I have almost the same weight gain since I quit smoking. So, according to this coincidence, can cigarette smoking be considered a sports discipline?

Yeah, I have a few unused bad jokes from yesterday.

As for some useful advice, I'd recommend running. It's healthy, it's free and it really works. At least it always worked for me when I needed to lose a few kilos. The main thing is not to exhaust yourself with huge distances from day one.
Persevere! I'm fighting against my mass too and the process of losing weight is currently stalled. It went fine for the first 10 kg, but now no progress for several weeks.
Those are still a thing? Very nice, xyem, very nice indeed.
