I am almost at my 10th anniversary of boycotting Egosoft, in fact I may well have passed it.

It will never be forgiven:-

Yes, I remember and I was of two minds about the Steam only move back then but when the games came to GOG, I for one was happy they had a change of heart, kind of, as the discs are a thing of the past now, even if Egosoft may still have a few around for some of their old games. Thankfully there are other games out there and even if you have to play two different games to scratch the same single itch, you can.

I guess some are stuck on a several updates old version of X3TC or X3AP. Maybe ask Egosoft kindly if they can convert your disc/s into GOG keys? You may have to mail in your hard copies.

Not to mention it literally took them over a year to update the broken and outdated Linux version of X3: Terran War Pack. Over a year after I raised the issue with them, by the way, because the installer had been abandoned for a few years before that.

But one can love the games and not love all the decisions the makers of said games are responsible for...

Not going to happen I'm afraid. Too much was lost on those boards. Thanks for suggesting though.

How does X Rebirth compare to the rest of the series?

IronArcturus: How does X Rebirth compare to the rest of the series?
The general opinion is "not well;" My own opinion is the game differs, a matter of taste. There are certain not great decisions in it that may take more time or cause confusion to a player. I think the best answer will be to try yourself for a bit, then decide.
