Fever_Discordia: I mean POTCO IS probably trash but there's got to be 1 or 2 MMO that are worth bringing back surely? Isn't there? Somewhere?

Aningan: I'd give Tabula Rasa a go. I did not have a PC good enough to run it when it launched :(
I was gutted when they pulled the plug on Warhammer. I played it at launch for about 6 months and loved it, but my PC wasn't quite up to it - shelved it pending an upgrade that I never got round to...

SCPM: There appears to be some forum which has recently started a campaign to get votes for POTCO on GOG,

tinyE: I'd love to have PotCo but I think we are talking about two different things.
Sounds like a Colorado taco stand with some very relaxing "cilantro."

"Welcome to Potco Pete's. What can I get you?"
"Cheebaritto please."
"Would you like additional munchies for later? Just $5 more!"
"Si."
"First window please."

GabiMoro: Barry Woodward made a thread encouraging us to let major publishers know we want their games on GOG. He even made a post on every publisher forum, describing the situation, GOG and the games which have many votes on the wishlist.

How many replies he got from us, the GOG comunity, supporting him and letting the publisher know that, apart from Barry there are a lot of people eager to pay for a DRM-free version of games like Command&Conquer, Max Payne, Crysis? 2-3 most.
(I have only post once, on EA forums, for Dragon Age 1&2, Crysis 1 and Warhead).

So you could laugh all you want about these people hoping POTCO will be revived by GOG (I check some videos and the game looks quite bad) and the chance of resurrecting this game may be close to 0 but I admire their enthusiasm and their mobilization.
Awww man. I didn't know. I would have posted. Heck, I suppose I still can.

You shouldn't feel too bad, it was incredibly bland and not that good.

tinyE: Hey at least we don't have nothing on the wishlist.

Oh wait...
Nothing was about to be released on christmas of 2013 or 2012. It was in the christmas video gog's posted.
However, we got nothing.
At least these people seem to be genuine, which is more than you can say for the vampire kingdom spammers.

snowkatt: maybe you should be on here more often
your missing some good shit
oh? oh well.

I started a new MMO and it is sucking the life force out of me. I need to learn to stay away from them.

yes you do
massive time sinks each and every one of them

Definitely! Can't peg 'em for trying. Still, a very misguided and misinformed attempt.

avatar
Fever_Discordia: Yeah, you're probably being sarcastic here
More facetious than sarcastic but, if GOG announced that they were bringing back old MMOs, I would be so floored that all I could do would be smile and embrace the absurdity.

Vanguard. It's a shame the game is broken beyond repair.
I've currently drawn the line and I will play only free to play MMOs. I've stuck to that pretty much. I only have one or two MMOs that I play periodically.

The saddest part of MMOs for me is that the gameplay is highly repetitive and bland. Generally speaking, the single player experience is nothing more than the same kill, fetch, or escort quests. Now you could say the same thing about single player games, but those games give the impression of change. In MMOs, there is no amount of text or story that will make fetching those 5 rat tails interesting.

but aren't all video games? it's more of whether they are enjoyable time sinks I guess.

F4LL0UT: Funny that you mention it. Just a couple of days ago I grabbed my original disc from my old place. Haven't checked whether it works on Windows 7 yet, though.
Hey, someone else remembers it! Awesome!

Make sure to report back, I might need to pick up a copy again. That soundtrack is all sorts of smooth.
