ApeSpecter: I hope it comes to linux.
Me, too. As InfraSuperman pointed out, though, at least there's Hedgewars for now.
I watched the trailer, and to me it looks exactly like the original. Sadly I don't see this necessarily as a good thing. I'd rather they would have included something new, and maybe do this on the Reloaded engine. As it is: why not just re-release / play the original?

WWP used to be my favorite Worms title too (until Reloaded), but I would have preferred major new additions or even Worms Reloaded 2 over this :/

It is a remaster, not a remake. However they are basically upgrading the technical (for example, Steamworks/GoG Galaxy-interface etc.)

InfraSuperman: Maybe people around here would be down with a round of Hedgewars.
Like quite a few open-source knock-offs this one has always felt off to me. *shrug*

Sure, it's definitely not the same, but I think it's a decent alternative, especially considering that the older Worms games seem to have severe compatibility issues these days.

If you are a Linux or Mac user you may be happy to hear that the developers consider porting the game to Linux and Mac if there's enough demand for the port:

Prah: Seems like the old classic, and my personal favorite in the series, will be getting a remastered version with intergretation in Steam. Maybe it is time for GOG to snag this title as well to get it intergrated with Galaxy?
Old classic? The game only came out... 14 years ago!?

I'm old. =(

Maybe he calls the game and old classic because it's pretty much the same game as the older Worms games and he only gives the credit to WWP because it was more memorable. :)

I was just joking because it feels really recent to me. I consider it one of those newfangled Worms games. Of course, I still like the original the best because I'm old.
