If GOG did not do anything you could add Telltale's Batman to this mix. The second one has a language selector inside of the game but the first one does not (at least in the Telltale release of the game).

A Norwegian iPhone must be really expensive.

I'd do it myself, but it's quite a project, especially with my gaming laptop, but I'm sure someone will want to do this. I have faith in the gog community of people with decent PCs and a ton of money for games.

I can't imagine why a company wouldn't take the lazier route of not using auto-detection, though. Most users can click a flag.

Just to make it clear. The problem with those games is not the auto detection at all. Nobody would have a problem with that. The problem is that after the auto detection there's no way to change the detected language. And usually game devs implement an option to change the language inside of the game. This option is absent in the games here.

In this case the devs or the engine they are using (this kind of parameters I know from UE4) obviously added an option to switch language. It might not have been ingame but even as a launch parameter it's more than the games I am talking about are offering.

This would be so awesome if it would work all the time, but for some reason it seems to be rather hit or miss. I've mostly run into this problem outside of GOG, but these are the results of some testing I made with games from my collection:

- Dust: An Elysian Tale (GOG; there is another workaround for this though)

So apart from Marc Ecko's Getting Up, sadly this doesn't change much for me. Still, it was worth a try, and even getting just one game to switch is a progress already, especially since it's the game where the changes are most significant (now I can finally listen to the original English voiceovers by Talib Kweli).

Btw, just in case someone here might find it interesting or useful, I once made a thread about listing games like that, although it didn't catch on that much. Testing the games above, I also noticed that at least three of them were published by Microsoft, although I'm not sure whether there is any meaning to it or not.

I haven't "favourited" a thread for ages, but recently I just added this one (the one we're typing in) to my favourites, and now I'm adding the one you've linked to.

I wish the list was uptodate, because it's a very very definitely "no buy" list, to me. You could add the first season of Telltale's Batman. And could have added the Reservoir Dogs game if it hadn't been removed from the gog libraries.

Yes. For all I know, the steam version allows language selection. I haven't bought either yet, though.

No, it does not. As I said - even Telltale's own version does not offer language selection for Season 1.
I own the above so I can check these too. Do you mean the digital version of BTTF or the physical (DVD)? Afaik the digital version only supports English (it did support other languages at release but they removed those in the digital release).

The digital version obtained from Telltale's website. The voiceovers are in English, it only affects the text: menus, subtitles, but most annoyingly also in-game text like the objectives and your answers in conversations. So you'd hear the dialogue in English but would answer in German.
