Can I ask where you bought the game from?

Care if I take a guess? :D

" i've tried reinstalling it but it keeps failing "

OP, can you post the error message?

Yeah, the lack of specificity meant I wasn't sure if they were talking about failure to find it on their account.

It's not on his account, according to his profile.

You need to provide more detail than "it was deleted from my account"

What account? Where did you buy it? What's the error message? Context is important when you're troubleshooting a problem.
you guys are saying its not on his account but then what are the witcher 3 milestones on his profile? also what the hell are milestones?

The milestones are there because HE DID own it. He doesn't own it anymore.

I am 99% sure why he doesn't own it anymore, but I will wait for him to confirm anything before I start naming retailers.

He may have bought it from a key reseller that used a stolen credit card.

It's a looooooong story and something that has become very very commonplace around here.

Basically, someone hacks/steals a code for a game, goes to reseller, gives/sells it to them. The reseller puts that code on sold for a drastically reduced price, never bothering to check how the code was attained from the person who gave it to them.

So, someone comes along, sees the low low price, buys the game, installs it, starts playing.
Before long it turns out the game was originally attained via illegal means, typically a stolen credit card. So the owner of the card freaks, the reseller refunds him his/her money, the code and the game are immediately invalidated.

Basically what firstpastthepost just said.

That's one of the ways to waste your money on keys that will probably be worthless cause they're stolen.
