A number of games on my wishlist are in the current spring sale, so now would be a good time to pick them up.

Gothic 2 Gold Edition
S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl
The Saboteur
Elex (reviews look pretty bad on this one)
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

Also, The Witcher 3 might be worth checking out at the current price. Although I wasn't a big fan of The Witcher 2.

Any GOG player opinions on any of these games?
The Saboteur is a ton of fun. The main story kinda sucks, but the game itself is just so much pure fun it didn't bother me all that much. If you're in the mood for something that feels like a great action/adventure movie and can forgive narrative shortcoming, this is probably one of the best such games on GOG.
hm I like all of those games :D
except the witcher, only played the first one and thought it was too mediocre to continue after a few hours.
Elex is actually my favourite Piranha Bytes game and I've played them since gothic 1 came out. I think a lot of the negative reviews for elex came from people unfamiliar with PB games

Did you play Risen?

Now that I think back, it might have been the first Witcher that I played. Any way, I remember the controls being very wonky, and lots of other issues that turned me away for continue playing it.

Shadow of Chernobyl is incredibly addicting game, but it requires a lot of patience (and save & load :P). But I would tell, that it's worth it. Lack of possibility to repair your items in this one is annoying though (heard that there is some mod which is adding such possibility though).
Shadow of Chernobyl is one of the best game of all time. Can't go wrong with it. :)
I've played all but the witcher 3 and I enjoyed all of them. Of the games you list my favourites would be Saboteur and Elex. Elex was a slog for the first third of the game, but it was very fun after that. That's kind of the case for all of that developers games though.
It's interesting seeing fans of Piranha Bytes games here. Their games tend to get bad reviews from what I have seen. I thought that Risen was a fine game, but I haven't played any of the others.
if you liked risen you're probably gonna like elex, all the piranha bytes games follow the same formula :D
Unless you specifically want a WW2-setting sandbox third-person shooter, I recommend getting Saints Row III instead. That's a better game and better-written. The Saboteur oozes desperation and pandering. To whom? The type of player that pays real money to remove the pasties on stripper boobs in an EA game. Euuughhh. Lousy way for Pandemic to go out, and I even liked Mercenaries 2.
Except for Dragon's Dogma, I think I will pick up all the others during this sale. I'm not sure why I added that one to my wishlist.

Not on my wishlist, The Witcher 3 seems to be a pretty polarizing game. Some people think it is the best game ever made. Other people say that the story gets lost along the way, turning into a chore to finish the game. I'm still on the fence on this one.
I guess if I don't like The Witcher 3, I will still being paying less for all these games than the cost of Elex when it is not on sale. So might as well check it out.
