Please don't be too discouraged by the bitterness and negative responses in this thread -- some people who hang out here really don't like regional pricing, but this forum has historically been a bit more helpful and less hostile than it seems right now.

With regards to Alipay and other payment methods: I'm sure GOG will be willing to start accepting these as they expand into regions where PayPal, for example, is not used as much, but probably not before -- besides direct credit/debit card payments, they currently only support PayPal and paysafecard, as far as I know, and that's because those are two of the most popular methods for online payments across North America and (in the case of paysafecard) much of Europe. There would be little purpose to offering Alipay as a payment option before they are prepared to support both Chinese language and Chinese currency, and doing any of those would probably be an enormous undertaking for a company of GOG's size (not least because a Chinese-localized GOG store would probably have to have many more restrictions put in place to comply with government regulations).

Pretty much this. In addition, i think OP overemphasizes the potential userbase in china. I think many know that only a very tiny % actually can afford to spend their money on games, that and proliferation of piracy in china in general....
I hope GOG prioritizes other markets first .Their also maybe regional pricing/availability issues in china -- publishers may feel its a risky undertaking to make a given game available. Thats my 2 cents worth.

That's precisely my thought. I used to live in the PRC and it's almost impossible to buy these sorts of things where they're not pirated. I'm not sure why China wouldn't get the same deal that Russia gets.

国服之后转回的；
好像也没存在什么接受不能的问题；

怎么说呢；
中国人有句古话；
闷声发大财；
像Steam那样，支持人民币支付，赚着中国人的钱；
但是没有在中国设立常驻机构；
挺好的；
一方面规避审查；
一方面开拓中国市场；
特别GOG的DRM-FREE性质；
只要拿到游戏安装包就能安装；
对于网络的依赖不大；
如果有一天GOG和Steam同时被墙；
那么对于Steam用户来说是灭顶之灾；
对GOG用户来说影响小很多；
毕竟GALAXY平台不是强制使用；
玩玩单机游戏的话，网页下载安装包足矣；

至于那些说GOG来中国容易被盗版的人；
我感觉他们是十分可笑的；
海盗湾、踢屁股并不是中国人的发明；
现在上面流传的BT种子都是欧美人发布的；
