Voted. Looks interesting and surreal. I stopped watching the second preview because I felt I was getting to much spoiler.
I̶s̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶a̶c̶t̶u̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶e̶ ̶n̶o̶w̶?̶ Apparently it's just been released.
That developer post is terse and vague. Doesn't say
when it was "
denied from this service" nor elaborate any reasons
why; leaving open for plenty of speculation.
The "Cradle Official Teaser" from the OP has "
spring 2012" at the end - Was it over two-years late? When did GOG "deny" it? Maybe they want to see a finished product (considering how late it already i̶s̶ was).
Maybe it was denied two years ago, when the said it would be done and then wasn't. Maybe it wasn't "denied"; as in "final, case-closed". Maybe it was; "come back when it's done". Can't tell anything from that terse dev post; including what "denied" actually means in terms of details. Maybe dev doesn't actually care about GOG but wants to say it in a way that looks like it isn't on them
IronArcturus: But is there a reason why it was denied? Was the game not functioning properly? Was it too similar to other GOG games?
Smannesman: GOG never tells its customers anything, so I don't know.
Not all on GOG for any explanation. Dev could elaborate instead of being so terse.
I guess now that's it out on Steam we can see how it gets received.. I myself won't buy it on Steam so hopefully they do get it here.
[Edit]: So seems it doesn't have
rebindable keys. That's a no-go for me (I don't use WASD, I use the arrow keys - that's what they're for!). And you have to
edit a config file to invert the mouse (I can live with that). And mouse smoothing and sensitivity is also pre-set and not adjustable. These are possibly
no-buy issues to me. Maybe it isn't quite ready for GOG yet..
