Hello,

does there exist any video game that has

1) Wild West setting and
2) playable female character?
Early access appears to start next week:

https://www.playwwo.com/
Desperados : Wanted Dead or Alive, which is an excellent game, very fun to play.

And there's the sequel too : Desperados 2: Cooper's Revenge.
The Westward series
Thanks guys! I'll absolutely check those out!!
I like to play with wild western women too.

:^P
The Wild Arms series (for consoles), though it has sci-fi and fantasy elements:

If anyone is curious, yes there were female gunslingers and outlaws in the Wild West.

Of course. Some of us did play Boot Hill. :)

I may be misunderstanding something here but when I read the descriptions for the game, it's a male lead with a female companion.

West of Loathing

:)
That looks...surprisingly interesting. If 98% of 1272 people rated it positive, it can't be all bad.

Ok, at the risk of sounding like an asshole... what does it matter if the game has playable women? It never occured to me to seek out or disregard a game because of the protagonists gender. Or race or even species for that matter. One of my favourite adventure games had me play as a claymation dog for heaven's sake.
Custers Revenge!

Oh wait, she isn't playable. I mean, she is playable, but well...you know what I mean.
Wild Guns, maybe?

Yeah, but it's also possible that they're not looking for themselves. Maybe they have a western-obsessed niece or something they're trying to find a game for, and they think it'd be cool if she could identify with the playable character. Or maybe it's just a "I wonder if ____ exists" bit of curiosity. Shrug. I also think it's kind of pointless when people obsess over character gender like it matters, but you might have jumped the gun a bit with the outrage.

IMO, people don't have to justify what kind of games they play.

If somebody wants to ask if there are any games set in Thailand, I don't feel the need to question whether it matters that the game is set in Thailand. I just answer the question if I have useful information to contribute.
