boztix: Gog is a platform for playing games
I thought GOG is a store selling games.

My platform for playing games is a PC.

darthspudius: Looks like another generic puzzle game. Not something GOG needs.
By all accounts it is a particularly excellent example of the genre.

boztix: And what do you need to play the games that you like?

For example, I do not like star wars games, but gog has many star wars games and it seems perfect to me because there are many users who want star wars games.

Just like The Witcher 3 looks like another generic open-world game. Definitely not something GOG needs.

-.-

nightcraw1er.488: Gog doesn't force you to update your game? I thought that was one of the main reasons (excuses) for galaxy, to keep the newly release or Indev shovelware up to date?
As for this "mobile puzzle game" I wouldn't want it any more than candy crush or any other mobile garbage, although some of it has already crept in here with the dreadful tempest, which just shows that mobile=shit.

bo3bber: No forced update, not even using Galaxy. It's terrific. I can downgrade whenver I want as well, they keep all older releases online for use. As a serious modder, this helps keep things running. You can also set it to always update if that is what you prefer, it's your choice. Choice is why GoG is far superior.

As far as Opus Magnum- this is not a mobile only game like CandyCrush, I do not understand why people keep repeating that. Even if it seems like it is, why does anyone else care what I want to play? I don't disrespect your gaming choices, please do not disrespect mine.
Just the first one that came to mind. Sure let's open the door to all the shovelware mobile garbage filling up all the other stores - yes you can actually buy things elsewhere you know - I mean we already have tempest here which is phonewarez maskerading as a pc title, already been caught on that con. If these types of things come here, then a clear warning stating mobile game should be present across it.
One thing I don't understand about the game haters here is why you care?

What difference does it make to you if the store gets junked up with mobile games?

My mom plays the hell out of CandyCrush style games, some of which have a lot more depth than your superficial observations would note.

The store is full of junk I can give a f* about, it doesn't hurt me in any way.

You hating on games I want to play and making GoG make poor choices is directly impacting *my* ability to play. Do you seriously not understand that your stance will come back someday to bite *your* preferred game?

bo3bber: Steam now forces you to *always* update your games, which ruins a lot of my gaming.
Just an FYI, you can actually download older versions of a game on Steam. Haven't tried it myself (hadn't had need to so far), but last time I posted this link the gogglodyte I was telling said that it did work.

Vipstaakki: Deal with it and buy it on Steam with all the DRM included.
or DRM free on Humble

i_hope_you_rot: Do we really need a 3rd thread about that overhyped game ?
not that we need 3 threads, the 2 before is more than enough, but the game is definitively not overhyped. it was released with little hype, all hype it got was via word of moth and then writers picking up on it. it included a few strokes of genius, such as the ability to produce gifs that can be shared, which made it go a bit viral. it is extremely playable, accessible and unique.

in terms of quality, i think this was my GOTY 2017 by a large margin.

boztix: Well I would like to know why the game Opus Magnum that has had a great reception in steam has not been published in gog.Además in the explanations that Gog gave the developers in no case is explained why the publication of his game is rejected .
I am sure it will be here eventually. As for now there is other place to get it, if you want to play it's early access version.

you mean, off course, either the DRM free version on Humble, or the Steam version?

and not to forget the online precursor The Codex of Alchemical Engineering
