To move inventory and get new products in they should discount the games that arent selling well, I mean its sitting there taking up space

There is no "inventory", it is a digital download store, there is no physical product. And they do have sales, one coming up soon probably.
Also it's not up to GOG to decide the price. It is set by the developers / publishers.
Why do you take the joke so seriously?

Oh, we're going to need a clean-up on aisle 3.

Ah, that explains all the games that GOG rejected- they simply have too many copies of Jack Keane cluttering up the inventory.
I agree with this guy, those products that aren't selling well are just a waste of inventory costs. GOG should just give them away for free. ;)

Seriously, please tell me this guy is trolling.

I believe GOG do have contractual agreements to hold sales, as there is not yet (I think), an automated system like steam where the developer/publisher could click a few buttons to set their games up for sale at a certain time.

He's not trolling, he just doesn't have a very accurate forum name. :D

Gog has one of those adventure games inventories, where they can put anything down their pants and never run out of space. Some guy named Sheepfoot sold it to them.
OP, how do you know they aren't?

Did I miss something on the website that would allow me to see what titles are selling well and which are not?

Well most retail stores discount games that dont sell well

Assuming you're serious...

retail stores have actual physical inventory that's already paid for. In essence, that store owns the stock and it's just taking up valuable store space if it's not selling.

A digital outlet like GOG... the inventory is virtual and takes no space. As well, GOG doesn't have to pay the publisher for the game copy until the game is sold. So no valuable shelf space is being taken up by the inventory. And, as noted, the publishers decide whether or not their games will be allowed to sell at a discount.

I'd say a lot of the games selling poorly do get larger discounts. Not all of them, but many of the games getting 80% discount (and more) have low user ratings.

The game pages have a "Bestselling" sort, that is one way to tell. It's shows ranked sales back to 2013 or so when the site was revamped as opposed to the front page which seems to cover a few days sales.
