This is Good Ol' Games, but you are making it harder and harder to find the old games. Why? I don't care for new indie titles!

How do i see "new releases" and sort by date released now? Why remove features? Before it was easy to see if any new nostalgia titles was added.. You could even sort by different release dates...

This store hasn't been Good Old Games since 2012... just letting you know.

Because it's true? And a fact? And it good to educate people on with facts? I agree with you though that they are making the site worse.

They haven't been taking consious steps against good old games before? Even when they wanted to push newer games they have left us easy ways to find the find the new releases of good old games. How do you filter out all the millions of indie junk titles and just show games released before 2010 on the new store?

Why even reply if you can't provide an answer?

Because it's a common misconception that GOG still stands for Good Old Games. This hasn't been true since 2012 when the rebranded and started accepting AAA and indie games. It's good to correct misconceptions that way people aren't being provided the wrong info.

As far as you other question, I don't believe there is a good way to really filter that anymore, so I doubt anyone could really provide you an answer. There is a sort by "oldest first" option up top to the right, but that doesn't seem to work correctly? I don't know but most of the games being shown aren't that old.

So I'm not sure what that means by "oldest first".

As long as it's still called GOG it's still Good Old Games. It's not a missconception. This is the place to go for Good Old Games. Stop saying otherwise if you can't provide a better alternative.

No not it's not... but I'm not going to argue with you. Goold Old Games died long ago. GOG doesn't use that branding at all anymore.

Yeah they do, they still call it GOG.
Steam has a lot of old games for sale too <shrug>.

It is hard to search for anything in this shop, that is for sure.

The name of the company is stated a the bottom of the page (GOG Sp. z o.o.).

Because GOG is the offical name. GOG stands for GOG. GOG does not stand for Good Old Games. This isn't that complicated.

Steam mostly uses Good Old Games ports and fixes for modern systems. Almost always GOG fixes the games and then the rights owner releases the fixed game on steam as well.

It does though. Since the inception of GOG.

You are missing the point. Here I will link the announcement from 2012 for you:

https://www.gog.com/news/bigger_fresher_newer_see_whats_new_on_gogcom

Pay attention to:

"These games lead the way on our the transition from Good Old Games to simply GOG.com. It doesn’t matter what G, O, and G stand for, Gee Oh Gee dot com stands for high-quality, DRM-free gaming, each week with bigger and newer games."

Before 2012 they used the Good Old Games branding all the time, on pictures, etc. They have not done that since before 2012 because Good Old Games no longer exist.

That doesn't mean they don't sell old game anymore, just that they don't specialize in old games only.

It doesn't. It is also entirely paradoxical at this point to call it "Good Old Games", seeing as some of the releases are so new that the paint hasn't even dried.

As for the sorting being broken, that was an issue before the design was changed. Do you want to help?
