catpower1980: Time to necro!

With the recent regional-locking for both Germans and Australians, I guess we now know which possible choice GOG has taken regarding movies. Curious to see what's coming up......

rampancy: I guess I haven't been paying attention...what games on GOG are region locked?
Commandos, Mortal Kombat, Hotline Miami 2. Maybe more have been discovered while I was sleeping :)

Only Commandos and Hotline Miami 2. Mortal Combat was only for a short time locked but is now available again for everyone since there was some misinterpretation of the status of Mortal Kombat.

Here's IAmSinistar's "Regional Locked Games on GOG" GOGmix

Unless it's outdated I'm not seeing Mortal Kombat on the list (at the time of this posting)

Edit: thank you for explaining the MK situation moonshineshadow

The Star Wars six film digital collection is coming April 10th. How would you feel if it was released on GOG at the cost of regional restrictions (at the point of sale only)?

Having a need to pirate your paid for digital stuff is just so wrong. I sure will not follow the link above to some pirate site.

EDIT: The spammer's post is now deleted.

@Themken:

Torence only suggested DRM removal as a way to be able to your own stuff on whatever device you fancy. This has nothing to do with piracy.

Yes yes, gone now. I just lamented that there is a need to pirate something which you have legally paid for (not talking shady resellers here). I could also lament the existance of spammers and the spreading of malware and crapware.

On topic, GOG seems to have given up. I hope they re-evaluate once a year or so to be ready when the time is ripe for more films on GOG.com.
Didn't look like spam to me -- still, hard to judge now that it's gone

EDIT:
I just googled is DRM removal legal, and it looks like an unambiguous YES.

Personally, I always remove the DRM from any epub I buy. Often this is a necessity since I need to correct the sellers broken CSS formatting. I don't see how this should equal "piracy".
