Wondering what people are using to listen to their games. Maybe brag a little if you have a sweet setup going on. ; )

For the easy connection with the laptop, I have a worn pair of Sennheiser HD590s, from around 2002. The headband cushion doesn't, the speaker foam covering is spotty, and the earcups are getting fairly worn. Still sound nice, though.

Up in the office, I'm cheating a bit. Hooked up the old audio setup with a Yamaha integrated amp, ancient CD player, tuner, and EQ, and use an RCA-headphone adapter cable to plug in the laptop so I can boom the games over a pair of Bose 901s. Currently have a problem with one channel but I haven't taken the time to find out where the signal is getting lost. Got a newer receiver I could use, but it doesn't play nice with external signal processors. Can't even hook up an old tape deck recording loop the way we used to, which was often how you slipped EQs and such into the audio path. Problem with the 901s is that they have their own crossover / pre-amp unit that has to go between the regular pre-amp and the amp, and the newer receiver doesn't have pre-amp outs.

If I can't get the other channel working correctly then I may have to switch over to the newer receiver and instead plug in the pair of B&W bookshelf speakers I bought many years back.

A couple times I've hooked the laptop up to the bigscreen TV, and used that to route the audio to the stereo in the house. For that one we have a pair of Mirage OM-9s and a Mirage sub, also from around 2002. Really love these old speakers.

Whatcha got?
Currently, I'm using a pair of Beyerdynamic Custom One Pros. Which replaced the incredibly fragile Audio-Technica ATH-M50xs (seriously, do NOT buy these cans), which I bought to hold me over after my Audio Technica ATH-A900 Arts broke after about 5 years.

Logitech Z200 desktop speakers, but I also have a G633 headset for more immersive sound.
A cable from my desktop to line in on my stereo amplifier = excellent sound for €3. It has no problem filling my one room flat with sound and informing my neighbours what kind of music I like and that I game fairly much.

USB speakers on my mum's stationary laptop. Small brand with sadly no Linux support :-( but excellent sound for their low price.

In-ear €20 headphones for my travel laptop. Not that great but small and easy to pack.

Logitech Z200 here as well, my old Sennheiser headphones got their plastic melted (they were stored in my parents garage for many years) so now I need a new pair.
I tend to use my ears :op

Creative t20, although right at the moment it's coming out of the after predator 32" ultra wide 4K monitor *grin*
I have a pair of old standard and crappy desktop speakers connected to a soundcard in my pc. The reason I have a soundcard is that the port on my mobo stopped working a few years ago. This was a $15 fix.

My monitor is capable of audio through HDMI, but the volume is so low I run through the speakers instead. And, whenever I upgrade or change any component of my pc, it auto switches back to the HDMI audio and I have to fiddle and faddle until I can get it to recognize and then use the soundcard and speakers again.

I have a Yamaha AVR connected via HDMI to the PC, with 2+2 old&new Elac speakers.
Probably just an average setup for audiophiles, but frankly, I like it a lot :)
I still miss the sub, however, because it seems quite expensive for now.

A set of Bauhn tower speakers and a wireless subwoofer; but I've been tempted to replace them.
Sennheiser HD 429

Also have a crappy 2.1 speaker system (something I can't remember from Trust) because missed having an awesome 5.1 system (I think it's a Creative Inspire P580, I still have it in a box in case I decide to try fix the broken amp).
The speakers might be more usable if I got quieter fans for the computer though ...
Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 -> good old Technics amplifier -> a set of Tannoy speakers
i'm more of the mindset that the system is more important than the speaker/headphone. i've had hd audio for some time but each time i buy a new motherboard with highend sound, the full range speakers i've been using for around a decade pack more of a punch so without further ado-

asus rog hero ix -

supremeFX S1220 CODEC
ESS ES9023P High Definition DAC

the speakers are just harman kardon full range (difficult to find model numbers). i know some people prefer expensive headphones but i prefer speakers.
At this very moment, LG LAS450H soundbar + wireless subwoofer, because my gaming laptop is currently in our living room connected to our TV. Writing this from the sofa staring at the big TV, works fine, I could get used to this.

Otherwise, normally I use Creative GigaWorks T20 Series 2 speakers.

Sometimes I also use, especially if I am away from home with my laptop, my trusty Logitech V20 USB speakers, which are great for their size and low power.

I also have USB headphones, Logitech H390 which are nice, but I try to use heaphones only if I want to remain silent, like playing in the middle of the night or not wanting my wife to know I am playing something on the computer. The reason being is that I consider headphones potentially more harmful to one's hearing, if keeping them too loud.

I have some other headphones and speakers too, but I never really use them with my PCs.
