This is sort of gonna be a 2 topic post... Id like to not cluter the system with my first few posts and questions lol..
anyways Like Im having a hard time believing some of the reviews I hear when every one practice on some games are "I bought this on steam here is my review". Particularly when its a negative review.. maybe Im not looking in the correct spots but one of the only times I seen "steam" reviews being more positive then GOG reviews was with Ion maden which judging from reviews on multiple sites its a pretty fun game using the old build engine currently still in development (early access).. Now dont get me wrong Im sure some steam users have GOG as well like me, but I feel like when I see a revieer talk about steam games yet the person has no games on their list, like the system is being "gamed"
Anyways speaking of that game.. dose anyone happen to know if there's any big difference between the steam and gog version of the game besides just being a couple bucks cheaper? I also noticed they sell it from their own website too and Im just not sure which way to turn. I love 3d realms and all but Id be worried from buying directly from them if its digital only cause if their site ever goes crapy I may not be able ot get my games in the future.. I hope they stick around and keep reviving but... yea.. not a chance Id like to take.
Another random thing I noticed on GOG is some older games tend to be cheaper then the steam versions (often bye a giant leap like blood I got for what 5 bucks for all the games in the series while steam is like 19.99 (I think)).. But when it comes to newer games sometimes its more expensive.. This is quite an interesting place..
I apologize if anything I asked has been asked before.. nothing new under the sun and stuff. but I didn't see it when I searched google for information comparing the 2 versions of that game.
