The #StreamTeam knows what's up.

It's up to 14 hours of gaming streams daily with 20 regular hosts, tons of giveaways, contests and raffles, frequent appearances from special guests, creative streams, and - of course - 100% DRM-free games.

Our schedule: Check out the all-new schedule (via teamup), where you'll find a listing of all the shows and titles that we've got planned - or read through our regular show lineup below.

GOG.com code raffles: On (almost) every stream, we raffle off (at least) one GOG.com game code worth $5.99 or $9.99 that you can use on any game from our selection that has a base price of up to the code's value. Watch our streams, and when the host announces a raffle has opened, type the appropriate command - maybe you'll be the lucky one!

Please note - you have to follow Twitch.tv/GOGcom to be eligible for an on-stream raffle victory. The GOG.com code will be delivered to you via Twitch chat as soon as possible after confirming your victory.

Scroll past the streaming widget for a listing of all shows you can expect throughout the week!

Really not a fan of the new 'GoG hosting' format of twitch streams. It's confusing as far as chat goes, I have no idea who the streamer is and it kind of ruins the community aspect of gog twitch chat. I would rather there is nothing on stream due to scheduling problems than a bland host stream linked to some one elses twitch, which I can do for myself.
What the literal fuck is this? Is someone providing free entertainment on the internet in place of an offline screen? God damn it. This is exactly what I thought would happen when this channel got partnered. I am beyond mad right now and I'll be complaining about this situation on OTHER CHANNELS where lots of other people are equally unhappy. AND NO, lots does not mean me and my mate Dave. Just because I'm always hanging out with Dave doesn't mean he's my only friend. Stop oppressing me.

Kiwion will play PZ with us soon (we're figuring out the date now). I'm hosting her so you guys get to know her before.

And sorry for this, but I genuinely think hosting is more entertaining than "We're offline :(" screen. If you just want to chat with GOG people without watching anything, pause the stream next to it. If you want to see "We're offline" screen because it soothes you, pause the stream and click "view GOGcom's info" below. Back to normal.

Meanwhile, today we have pre-release stream of Pony Island and developers hosting Tropico 5 later in the day. <3

They'll be doing charity events next! WHEN WILL THE MADNESS END!

Hm, that gives me an idea though to make a !host command to explain who a hosted person is and why we're hosting him/her... Could solve the problem! :)

ussnorway: 2nd 13 minutes long silence is hard to watch
I do apologize for this. There is always a risk factor when music is involved (being a musician I know this very well). But at the end of the day you have find a balance. In doing so, sometimes you ask yourself as a streamer: "Do I risk it, knowing that it will provide GREAT entertainment for the people currently watching live the stream, or do I play it safe for people who are not watching and will later view the VOD?"

In the case of the above, I took a small risk which provided some fantastic entertainment for those watching live, but resulted in 13 minutes of muted audio out of the 3 hour and 15 minute VOD. That said: we are currently in the process of editing the video and uploading it to YouTube so that this is not an issue for people who still want to see the stream un-muted.

I am usually one of the most careful when it comes to ensuring music and content is not muted (to the extent of only using my own original music for most of my streams). But in this particular case, I wanted to provide a fantastic live experience, and based on the fact that the "Benny Hill" music was not muted in the past, I was hoping this would also be permitted.
Nvm.

mintee: Nvm. Due to unprofessional remarks from Outstar regarding my concerns on the direction of gog twitch I have decided to unfollow gog stream and go to other channels for my information regarding any games I am interested in buying. Thanks all, it was fun while it lasted. Cheers
Cirocco, I asked you on chat why do you think it's better than being offline and told you that I genuinely care about your opinion, which I do.

I also apologized for saying before in the forum post that you might consider offline screen soothing.

What else did I do wrong?

I wasn't aware pointing out you were literally the only person to have a problem, and trying to establish WHY this was the case was "unprofessional"

I agree my comment about soothing offline screen was unprofessional and I'm sorry for this, didn't mean to sound sarcastic, but it looked like I was.

I started hosting people today because of two events:
1. Complaint on the chat from a regular a while ago that we don't provide more content and, quote, he "has to stare at offline screen",
2. Huge success of hosting 8bit yesterday, there was even a poll if people want to have a replacement stream and they've chosen they prefer hosting.

I also think it may be a good way in the future to show channels of our regulars that are not part of the StreamTeam. Whenever people known from chat will stream GOG games while we are offline, I can host them to give them more viewers and our audience - more gaming content.

It's should be about games and entertainment, most of all, and this is what hosting gives.

Hey Ciroccoo - I really hope you reconsider leaving the community; regardless of any comments made by either party I think it's important to remember that as the natural evolution of the GOGCOM Twitch channel we set new goals; both internally and externally, we try new methods of growing the channel and expanding our family and community for the better.

Obviously the decision to 'host' another streamer on the channel is never taken lightly, usually it's the decision of the team leader (Outstar) and personally I know that she'd never host people without a good reason. This reason being that Kiwion will be playing Project Zomboid with us soon.

Usually the GOGCOM channel will be used to host our fellow StreamTeam members who are playing GOG games on their own channel. It's unfortunate that the hosted person isn't immediately connected to the chat/community but that's an unfortunate side effect and I don't think that should be a deal breaker here.

Hosting is something that can help provide more entertainment to the community and on a more serious note, allow us to give people 'trial runs' on streaming for the channel - I myself was hosted by the GOGCOM channel during a charity livestream on very short notice and that's how I started in the team.

Honestly, I really hope you don't leave the community - I personally don't care if there are any issues between people here, we're all family at the end of the day - you don't always have to get along with one another but we can certainly sort through our problems.

Also please don't go - yours is one of the names I'm super proud to be able to pronounce correctly. :-)

I like the idea of a host command... not that I see it as a problem but its still a good idea.

ChronoWolf: I do apologize for this.
Accepted

To be clear, the Benny hill music i.e, yakety sax is not copyrighted... that is why he used it himself and why it did not get muted.

Copyrighted music gets muted (being a musician and all you should know this)... hope for the best, no body told me is really not part of the deal after X years but thats up to you guys.

ussnorway: Copyrighted music gets muted
As someone who semi-regularly uses copyrighted music during streams (I'm minor, get no money and nobody watches my VODs so what the heck) I've found that this is not always the case. I'm often surprised what DOES get muted vs. what DOESN'T get muted in the VODs.

Heck, it's not even consistent with the SAME SONG sometimes.
