Now that tags are here (and sadly replaced manual sorting instead of complementing it), what will you use them for? What are some tags that find useful to have?

To test the system, I made a start with:

- FPS
- Dungeon Crawler
- Metroidvania
- Rogue-Lite
- Diablo-Style

So what are yours?
None, I'd rather not look at my library anymore.
Also I know every game there, no need for filtering.
Genres, pretty much... And the pre-built "Backlog" tag. And maybe a "HOLY CRAP THIS IS THE MOST AWESOME GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED!!!!!!!!!!" tag for... well... the most awesome games I've ever played ;)
I have one game marked as completed.
I'll probably just use the default tags for most things, the filters seem to take care of most everything else. I might add some additional genre tags since the default filters leave a lot to be desired, or maybe tag games by their original bundles before the great unbundling.

Me too... LOL

Now thinking about it... they are more than 1, so I'm gonna fix this error!
Probably similarly to how I've tagged other systems:

Open-Ended for things like strategy games or easily-modded open world games. Seeing the end credits means you've beaten the game one way and there's likely loads of other ways to play (and win), or games with a load of things to do.

Completed for games I've beaten. Finished for games I've not beaten but I consider I've played enough (either due to non-interest in playing any further or a difficulty spike I can't get around); doesn't preclude me from picking them up sometime in the future.

Backlog for games in my backlog.

Next To Play for games next on my to-play list.

If I ever manage to bother I'll add "crap" tag there.
Alphabetical.....oh wait

I've actually got 42, but I still don't feel like it's brought me any closer to the meaning of the universe. :/

I wonder, what does Backlog really mean? Is it a useful category for you? Do you read it as "the games I want to play next" (but then what's the difference to "Next to Play") or as "the games I still mean to play at some time in my life" (wouldn't it be easier then to tag the games in your library that you don't want to play under any circumstances)? Or do you have more games in your libraries that would deserve Tomint's tag "crap" than games you'd actually like to play? ;)

The 'Games Finished' and 'Backlog' options are too depressing to even think about. I am a serious A.D.D. Gamer. :P

How about a tag "Unplayed" then? This would give you a mission to jump from one of them to the next until you've "played" every game in your library, even if it was only for a few minutes. ;)

There is something like that there isn't there? Whenever I transfer a game it tells me if I've played it (on Galaxy anyway which I never do) but it is a start, and I always look for the bright side. :D
Adding games to backlog for me means adding like 85% of the list. I'll probably leave it as it is, the default tags are enough for now.

70 of my 98 games are technically backlog.

Remember last year I was working on beating sanitarium?

Backlog < Bucket List
