I never played it, but reading about GURPS Reign of Steel setting always intrigued me. Not sure what kind of game it should be though. Maybe an empire management 4X game where you control a zonemind and commit subterfuge against the others.
As far as time periods are concerned, I also wouldn't mind something set in as far back as the European Copper Age, for example.
Sort of a Kingdom Come Deliverance, particularly in regards to realism and authenticity. Coming up with an interesting plot and story would be the real challenge, especially if you'd want to keep it grounded and not bring in any supernatural or mystic tropes. Knowing nothing about the language spoken during that time would be a bit of a show-stopper as well.

You could do an adaptation of the not-too-shabby fictional recount of the Oetztal mummy's life, I guess.

kai2: I asked something similar, but after searching fruitlessly for 15 mins (why can I NOT search GOG by my own name!?), I'll just post...
Here you go.
Definitely Perry Rhodan. An RPG or a 4 X game would be nice!

I just want a true D&D rules real time First Person Shooter game, where I can use bows, swords and magic and every fire action is automatically calculated for THACO and other parameters. And if I miss or enemy armor is too strong or magic resistance I would like to see proper beautifully made animation (an arrow bouncing off the armor, magic sparks and fizzle, enemy dodging the hit, illusion disintegrates, etc.).

The game with huge maps, detailed towns, big cities and vast dungeons with lots of exploration. Classic Forgotten Realms would do fine, and Necromancers, I want them the most.

Breja: If we're talking 80s cartoons, I always liked Visionaries. The show is very much a product of the time, but I think the setting is honestly very interesting and it's all very visualy unique. Whether as a game or a new show, it could make for something really special.
I'm not sure I even knew about Visionaries before your post. It certainly looks unique, but it's definitely got that unmistakable 80s sci-fi vibe going (Galaxy Rangers, Bravestarr, Thunder Cats and the scores of other series from that era). I'd settle for any game that tries to capture that vibe seen in these series.
Or even a more 70s sci-fi vibe reminiscent of Heavy Metal would be aces. Though you would have to get a proper composer onboard to do it justice.

i would like a movie about how power ruins people, fe how moderators/admins just abuse their little power ,how they make biased and wrong decisions all the time and label as following the vague rules, while letting their "friends" do whatever they want even clearly breaking those lame rules
Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive. That magic system just screams RPG.
A couple of days ago Swedrami posted about an educational game called The Spirit of Europe Origins I would absolutely love to see a game like this based on Lindsey Davis' Marcus Didius Falco series. It can be both educational, explore the ancient Roman empire, family life, learn Latin, meet the emperors, Nero, Vespasian and other historic figures, solve crime and eventually become a noble citizen. This could be either an RPG in the vein of Tyrrany, a text-heavy Adventure game with lots of graphics (think Infocom or Tides of Numenara), or a hybrid of RPG/Tactical/Simulation, a City/Empire Builder, where it is possible to take on the role of one of the emperors, to rebuild Rome, while working with actors from the novels.

D&D hasn't used THAC0 for decades now, been like three editions since they got rid of it. Anyway, using D&D rules in a real time FPS seem like a really bad idea. It's not a rule system made for fast paced shooter-y combat.

quick question - why should anthropomorphism make it for kids? i can show you quite a lot of adult (and very adult....) antrophomoric media - books, films, animation, games etc. It is a narrative and stylistc choice, nothing to do with age restrictions.

It falls under the same problem as people saying all animations are for children, or all games are for children (which is why some parents do not check them).

What I meant was, Redwall was written specifically for kids and is meant to be children's literature. But the series later evolved, with a slightly darker tone (at least in some books) and tons of serious world and lore building, and I feel like if a lot of stuff that happens in later books (slavery, killing, torture) happened to humans rather than mice and otters the books wouldn't be standing in the children's section anymore.

I don't know anything about latest D&D editions and I don't care, and I didn't know that my idea is bad or that it's obligatory to tell the others how bad their ideas are in this particular thread.

Sorry, but I wasn't trying to be an asshole. Just commenting on an idea. A thread isn't very interesting if it's just posts with no responses.
