fables22: As pointed out by fellow community members, TW3 was included in our Monstrous Fall Sale a few weeks back. Personally, I'd say wait and see what's in store. Ya' know, Christmas is just round the corner, and December is very much the time when miracles do indeed happen.... :)

SANAFABICH: I do believe in miracles! That's it, I'm sold. Waiting for the next couple of weeks...
Miracles might also happen sooner rather than later...is all I'm saying.

SANAFABICH: ...
You can use GOG Galaxy, which will solve this problem not only for Witcher, but for all games that have DLCs. If you install games using GOG Galaxy it will automatically install both the base game and all it's DLCs.

hairydangler: Yeah but thats not the GOTY edition is it?
Actually, it is:

A little extra on Black Friday in addition to the running sale would have been nice though. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed to see the same offers from yesterday.
Black Friday, always sure to bring out the entitlement crew.

I don't actually know whats worse, the assholes who came up with the idea in the first place or the assholes who think they are actually going to get a bargain.

... or the people who've got nothing better to do on a friday night than logging into a forum just to spew random hate and insults?

Wait, I thought that was already a daily thing. No special occasion required. =P

Let's say I want to archive it like I do with the GOG Downloader...
I'm aware that Galaxy has a backup option but do I get a single installer if I were to use it? (I do own a pre-order copy of Witcher 3, the Expansion Pass and the free DLC thing)
I assume it won't, surprisingly.

On the one hand I think TW3 should never be on sale. Because it's worth every bloody cent of the original price.
On the other hand I know (and first hand, believe me, from my own past) that there are people out there with not much money to make ends meet, a family to feed, who don't just have the money to spend - and who I wish should also be able to enjoy this amazing piece of software (and read the books! preferably first!!).

So I'm really on the fence here...

I'm gonna take fables22's word on it and wait for the next GOG sale. Considering I trust GOG, It's worth the wait.

Random hate and insults? Black Friday is for chumps. Want to join the queue? However, I did notice that you took the time to login to a forum and say fuck all, you have my thanks for that.

This one is for you.

I failed at Witcher 1. I just couldn't do it. I'm toward the end of chapter 2 in Witcher 2 and asked for the books for Christmas. I am seeing why the books are important. There are so many characters and locations and empires and kingdoms that it can be hard to follow the game.

Also, the books are VERY good themselves, even if you completely disregard the game (although why would you:)).
