So GOG can't cope with a patch in one of the games? A PATCH???

Witcher 3 is not connecting, unable to patch, it displays even a message of NOT ATHORIZED...

I hope Nvidia takes note of this absolute mess and NEVER EVER again gives codes through this awful and useless platform, the only reason I was using it was becasue I was forced since the code was exclusive for this.

Their servers are overloaded now, gog just released new patch and DLC for W3, imagine how many ppl want to download it now, its not a rich Steam.. I got 500 bad gateway error just trying to browse forum here so it must be really bad. :)

On topic:

Instead of complaining and raging maybe you should take things a little more easier:

1) You got the game for free and you're complaining when you should be grateful.
2) You can download the patch manually from your library, the links are up and working.
3) GOG offers a great service, doesn't exclude that it also has it's flaws either, nothing is perfect after all and if you're referring to Galaxy in your post, the client is still in beta. Manual patching never failed me.

4) The problem isn't always GOG's. sometimes it's between chair and keyboard.

I'm not complaining about the game which is amazing BTW, I'm complaining about the awful platform in which it has been distributed.

And I paid more than 500 € for my GTX980 so it was hardly "free".

If the platform can't handle a patch on just one game it speaks volumes about the level of service it provides, no wonder games and codes for this platform are cheaper than STEAM ones.

Now I know what to expect if I would ever buy a game in this platform, I was about to do it even with the remaster of X-Wing alliance, but definetively I'm not going to use GOG if I can help it.

It was a cheap ass decision form Nvidia to give the codes through here and, as I said, I hope they take note of this.

Can't even handle the load of a patch FFS.

Edit: I tried the manual download and they werent up half an hour ago, now they are. It still is a messy, clumsy solution. Nvidia selss AAA products with AAA price and offer some nice games sometimes when buying a card, this is the first time I've seen them doin it through GOG which clearly it isn't AAA, and that reflects wrong on them.

But a patch... a friggin patch flooding the servers?? just shoows poor service, poor infrastructure to service your customer.

You paid for the nvidia card, not the bonus. So yes, it was free. Just because you can't figure out how to navigate to the game page and download the patch, doesn't give you the right to act like a sweaty scrotum about it. Next time think some things through and maybe politely ask for help.

He didn't say "free graphics card", he said "free game". You didn't pay extra for the card because of the game, did you?

Listen, i do understand that you're angry and you do have a point, gog tried to bite off more than one can chew (gog galaxy beta + gog keys for TW3 on retail and promotional stuff leading to the problems that their servers are facing) but that sentence that i quoted is just dumb.

It's not that the games are cheaper here, it's Steam prices that are higher, they used to have better sales and better prices and look at them now. They even allow publishers to rise their prices before a sale....
