foxgog: The dialogue I posted earlier together with the first screenshot is not taken directly from the game in question (or any other game)!
It was merely a reference to a scene in one of the "Shrek" animation movies which it reminded me of, because of the ridiculous distance indication on the sign in the game in question.
Catventurer: So is the current screenshot from the actual game?
Asking because we can't really guess the game if we're only getting pictures not from the game. Also the art in the latest images don't really match the prior image.
Hello Catventurer!
All pictures I have posted so far for this game are taken directly from within the game during actual gameplay!
Only the accompanying picture descriptions that I add in my posts may not appear in the game, neither in written nor spoken form. They are merely intended to do some word play on the motives and contents of each screenshot, since the game itself leans heavily into comedy.
The first picture, 01_way_home.jpg, is the result of me connecting through copy and paste (in paint) two consecutive screenshots from the same camera pan movement in game, using a third screenshot in order to edit out the characters and single hud elements in the upper left and right corners.
The second image, 01_correction.jpg, is an unedited screenshot from the game from another (different) sign post only a few screens away from the one I stitched together!
Kalirion's reaction to the distance measure prompted me to use the actual ingame joke about the same subject of the ridiculous distance back home.
The third, fourth and fifth picture(s)--02a_rapunzel.jpg / 02b_rapunzel.jpg / 02c_rapunzel.jpg--are all real screenshots from a totally different scene in the game, were you have to solve this little puzzle sequence around the German fairy tale (originally with Rapunzel and her long hair being rescued by a prince in shiny armor from the tower she is locked up in) with the twist of the exchange of the character's roles.
Obviously, the game switches to an entirely different form and style of representation (you can call it 'perspective'), because a a children's book is being opened ingame and then playing out the scene(s) within that book.
Hello kalirion!
I get the impression, that you might be focussed too much on my added comments (descriptions) instead of the actual screenshots--maybe, because you do not recognize the pictures.
Hint:
I tend to post screenshots from later game stages and usually ones that are not present on the game pages; the fairy tale scene is near the end of the game in question.
I will pick the next set of screenshots from earlier situations inside the game, if those are not enough, then I am going to post ones including the main protagonists (player characters).
Kind regards,
foxgog
