I'm pretty sure I've played (and didn't like) the demo of this, is this Dorfromantik?

That just means that I should go play and enjoy more Dorfromantik while you figure out what screenshot to post next because it's now your turn.
I figured it out. (Surprisingly.)
Resized and cropped to hide the UI - the game supports 1920x1080 just fine.

No.

They do live in Asia though they're rarer than in Africa. I made sure to include it in that screen to confuse people. xD

Dark_Light748: The new Age of Empires?
Nope.

kalirion: Total War: Atilla?
Negative.

Though the game is related to the series. In more ways than the obvious one I should add.

The only thing I can contribute is that these screenshots are most likely somewhere in ancient China, which used to have rhinoceroses (as shown in the first screen shot) that was posted. I have no idea what game it is though, but I hope that helps someone else figure this out. <3
romance of the three kingdoms?

csanjuro: romance of the three kingdoms?
Also a no. The game itself plays out before that period but comes with an eXpansion covering that era too.

On an unrelated note, apparently 496,5kb are STILL ABOVE the 500kb file limit, wtf?! Even smaller of a screen this time, my apologies... But it's uncropped for a change and with full UI

Is this Oriental Empires?

It looks like Oriental Empires to me too

Seems that the rhino did help you out after all, because you are correct!

Catventurer: It's also not Ikenfell as that's the game I'm playing next.
In before you posting your neXt screenshot, is it Ikenfell? xD

*edit: As for the less obvious connection to the Total War series, Robert T. Smith who has worked on some of those games was also involved with the development of Oriental Empires.

Actually it was the Asian setting plus the hex grid. I remembered that Oriental Empires existed when I saw the hex grid.

Although I normally would use screen shots from whatever I happen to be playing, which is still Ikenfell... I will instead be posting a screenshot of what I intend to play next thus your guess is automatically wrong.
