What if they force all developers to drop DRM ?!

When that happens I'll be too busy nursing the wounds on my ass after pigs come flying out of it.

Hell will host the Winter Olympics

Yet another thread, solely created to show some "activity"
Hmmm one of the major headaches of steam goes away... But a lot of people will insist on having DRM and won't remove it, so they will likely be SOL until they do.

DRM based on steamworks will instantly be removed...

Publishers like EA and Ubisoft will be very tentative that all their games will be unprotected (and stumped when their sales remain normal or get better); But they will be equally annoyed when their game discs at Walmart and the like for PC actually HAVE to have a game rather than a game code...
This?
And this will happen when Steam goes offline .

tinyE:
Of course, with a population of about 1500, the chance of the town of Hell hosting the winter olympics is pretty small, so the expression is fairly suitable regardless of whether one means the Norwegian town or the religious idea of a forever burning place of torment.

Then again, were Trondheim to host it, I would not be in the least surprised if Hell was somehow included in the PR around it (Trondheim does, after all, have a much larger population than Lillehammer, which hosted in 1994, and Hell is quite close to Trondheim).

Just speaking for myself but to me if that was the only change, it wouldn't make me use the service as the way it's structured (download as installation...) is really inconvenient for me

On disk ≠ DRM free

Technically yes, but I'm willing to put up with it. All the other crap is inexcusable.

Im going shopping for HDD and an unlimited cloud storage service.
