Captain Howdy here with a quick one (or two). :)
There's a special place on the Outer Banks in
Torpedo Alley that still flies the Union Jack.
The British Cemetary is one of my favorite places on Ocracoke Island
and at this time every year the whole island stops
to honor the fallen crew from HMT Bedfordshire.
Cape Hatteras has a site as well
and the first lines from Rupert Brooke's poem "The Soldier" are on a plaque that overlooks the interred.
I always made it a habit to visit when on Ocracoke; even when skipping school to ferry hop. :)
To the south of there and Silver Lake is Springer's Point, one of Blackbeard's favorite Hangouts.

I just found out about Herazz, an 80s-90s hard rock/hair band. I love melodic rock and can't believe I haven't heard of these guys before. if you love melodic rock I would highly recommend tuning in to the internet radio station Metalzone.gr.
