Themken: Also remember that country info can be changed at will.

Klumpen0815: No, it can't.
Unless they fixed something.
Really now? I see some people changing it like every month even I know they did not even visit those countries.

Themken: Yes, I live in Finland now.
Now it says Taiwan, you really should try and settle down, all this moving around can't be much fun.

onarliog: Elmer T Lee was excellent , when it's going price was ~$20. I still have half a case left in my stash, but that's gonna be the end of it. Not entering a raffle or paying $100 for it today.

That said, I found a Stagg Jr. batch 6 for $49 today, and sipping that right now. There are still some sane liquor stores around.

Ixamyakxim: So it is that bad everywhere :( I considered myself "lucky" when I found two bottles at shelf prices over the last 8 months or so. What happened with this bottle? It was my absolute favorite bourbon to pick up at an incredibly reasonable price (it wasn't like hunting down some rare bottle of wine to never, ever drink - no I don't do that LOL) - then all of a sudden it just disappeared. The couple bottles I found recently were the first in quite a long while - I was hoping that was a sign it would be around a bit more.

I might have to break into your basement / liquor cabinent if you have half a case tucked away ;)
Yeah, the bourbon craze is very real, but especially Elmer and another fav of mine WL Weller 12 is going for obscene prices these days. I don't care if somebody wants to pay $10K for a subpar Van Winkle release, but it's sad to see the quality everyday pours become unreachable. Hopefully people will soon move on to the next fashionable thing, as they always do.

Liquor cases are pretty small unfortunately, that's 3 bottles left :) If you haven't already tried it, look for Rock Hill Farms, same juice as Elmer, a bit older, different warehouse location. It was never as popular, so it still sells for its regular price of $45-50. The premium is justified by its better quality imho.
Right now I'm enjoying a wee dram of Laphroaig.
Rum and Coke. Back before I knew drinking, I used to hear it as "Roman Coke". Haha - dork!

Please not tequila. That habit is costing me enough as it is.

A big mug of filtered coffee, like I do every morning. It is a big beer mug, coffee mugs are too small.

Nowadays I drink (alcohol) very rarely, but it depends. Maybe two months ago a friend of mine gave me a case of 24 long drink cans from his carage, just for driving him and his wife home one night when it was cold so that they didn't have to wait for a bus (it was -20 C degrees that night).

Ok then, since they were there, I decided to drink them away. I drank 1-2 cans every day, usually with dinner and maybe one later in the evening. So at best 14 cans of long drink in a week, which I think surpasses the limit when you are considered having a severe drinking problem (which to me sounds odd, you hardly get even tipsy from 1-2 long drinks).

Anyway after I ran out of them, I haven't drank any alcohol anymore, nor do I even long for a drink (pun intended).

Ceylan orange pekoe black tea.

Usually, I'm more of an Earl Grey guy in the morning, but a colleague gave me a box of this one, and I love the smell :)
