Here, on gog.com, we want to know everything about you. We know what you read, listen to and drink... But there is no thread about what you are cooking!

Right now, I'm trying to make a Béarnaise sauce to go with my fish. FIRST ATTEMPT!
Waiting for tonight before I have some fish tacos.
While I like trying out new things, my husband is quite picky about what he likes and eats, so it's either compromise or cook two different meals (and with money + space problems, it's 90% compromise).

Next thing to make will probably be toad in the hole (not actual toads -- sausages cooked in a yorkshire pudding batter) with herbed potatoes.
Tonight it will be salmon pie, it's a bit like shepherd's pie except that the beef and corn are replaced with canned salmon.
So canned salmon covered with mashed potatoes.

I think we were thinking alike. lol
My current hostel doesn't have a kitchen :(

I'm worried about what I'll do next month though, if this thread is still alive then I'll post something more interesting. Last time I was in Japan, I tried to make a potato omelette at the hostel kitchen instead of going to the restaurant, to save some money. Then I saw potatos beign sold separately, each potato on a different plastic wrapping, for 3-4€ each. Yeah, my cooking is freaking expensive over there, and I have no clue what to do with stuff like dried squid. That will be fun.

katya_stevens: with herbed potatoes.
Oh yeah! That'd be perfect with a Béarnaise!
Whatever it is, I'm sure it's gonna look better on the way out. :D
i mostly cook trouble. Especially in kitchen.
Tomorrow I'm cooking wiener schnitzel with garlic marinated potato wedges.
Just a question, maybe someone from France or Germany can help. Your mash potato tastes so much better than ours.
Don't know if its the type of potato used or something extra you put in it.
Any ideas?

As a person from what amounts to potatoland, I'll have you know there's tons of potatos around. Potatos to roast, potatos to fry, potatos to boil... big potatos, small potatos, baby potatos...

I don't know what kind of potatos you have in South Africa as I've never been there, but if you just have "potatos"... there's your answer.
Tonight I'm doing steak on the grill with grilled Vidalia onions (thick slices, seasoned, and grilled alongside the steak). Roasted corn and sweet potato fries (or yam fries, depending where you're from. The orange ones).

Tomorrow will be a homemade lobster soup with salad.

For Thursday, we have homemade pizzas with my homemade sauce. One margherita pizza and the other with mango, hot peppers, zucchini, sweet red bell peppers, roasted garlic and two types of cheese.

Not sure what's on the menu for Friday yet.

Yep, I just dread the moment when the "What are you fapping to?" thread shows up. lol

To answer the question: We're having Taco's tonight! Woohoo! My favorite!
