despite giving the n64 quite a bit of shit in some threads
its still a decent and worthwhile console ( with caveats )

however because the library is lets be honest here limited ( there are 387 games compared to the ps1's 1200 titles and the ps2 has a staggering 3878 titles a ps 1 or 2 list woudl be humongous )

this list is limited to say 50 titles
if we arent hitting the dregs by 50 the list wil be extended

but for now

what are the n64's best titles ?

ill start with

1 : zelda majora's mask

2. Perfect Dark

I should know, I played it to death on an emulator and loved it, and now own TWO copies of it (as well as the terrible GBC game) after I got the actual console.

Altho I think the 360 port is a much better experience.

Besides Nintendo first part titles, you're probably going to have trouble filling the list. I won't add to the list since i think the N64 is a poor platform, and i never owned one...

Shadowman, Turok and Turok II, Winback, Jet Force Gemini, Beetle Adventure Racing, Sin & Punishment and Gauntlet are amongst my favorites.

3 : zelda ocarina of time

Off the top of head anyway, I'm sure I could add more.

I have played only two games on the N64:

- Golden Eye 007
- Mario Cart 64

Back then i considered them very good!

and 4: wave race 64

not much to it but its still fun

Banjo-Tooie. Hands down my favorite game on that console.
Paper Mario is also pretty cool.

5: mario kart 64

this title made me hate yoshi and donkey kong

- Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire.

The game is a classic interquel to the saga, even if some racing stages are bullcrap.

i kinda think it aged rather poorly but i didnt like it much even back in 2000 when i first played it when i was 11

7 : mario 64

Desperately trying to remember what games I actually owned on my N64..

I really enjoyed Mario Golf and Donkey Kong 64 but I'm not sure either really qualify for a best of list.
