I agree, Brutal Doom is very good.
I'm playing the mods that were recommended, with Brutal Doom installed.

I'd advise you to try classic gameplay. Most of these wads are very carefully balanced for classic doom mechanics. Playing them with Brutal Doom kinda breaks the authors' intent. Some also introduce weapon & monster modifications of their own, which may not play well with Brutal Doom.

True, that's why I'm using Ketchup now.
It keeps the huge amount of blood, without changing the gameplay.
