guppy44: That is still structured the same requiring the player to get to a save stone in order to save the game. The checkpoints are not save points and only remain in play during the same game session.

I found this in the GOG forums, however. It looks as though some gamers have found a way to make a quick save feature work although it's not entirely the same as a true quick save/load option.

Thanks for clarifying; it's been a while since I've played it. I booted up an old save, but have aparently forgotten about the stones.

igrok: No, the frame rate is better in the actual game (keeping in mind it was designed for 80286, so it may not be completely smooth). Red Baron (not on sale) is a better game overall, though I also enjoyed KotS.

Over the last 2 weekly sales I've been feeling that some prices are way off, and the discounts still do not bring justice to them (ie, blitzkrieg anthology).

Is there an update on when the Turok level editor will finally arrive on GOG? Steam users have been able to create stuff since December 22nd. It's the only reason I'm eager to buy Turok again, the original PC version still runs fine on my machine. I really want to mess with the level editor. Come on, GOG. Please make it happen.

This is one of the best strategy games with card-based combat I’ve ever played.
These games have nice graphics and decent music, but unfortunately rather bad camera controls and complicated battle mechanics. Strangely the controls are different in both games, but worse in the second one.

Can you recommend a good description of the battle mechanics, especially how is it calculated which unit moves next and how many actions get a unit?

Is it possible to zoom out without changing the camera angle on the map view in Etherlords 2 (the same way as the zoom in the battle field view works)? Can you use the mouse to move the map (or at least use a single key only, not a key combination)?

Whoa, your questions are too detailed. Last time I played these games a bit when they got released here. I still remember the most important parts like how challenging it can get, how deck building is important for higher difficulties etc. but not much about interface, sorry.

"I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream" is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi short story by Harlan Ellison. It was first published in the March 1967 issue of IF: Worlds of Science Fiction. It won a Hugo Award in 1968.
Ellison adapted the story into a computer game of the same name, published by Cyberdreams in 1995. Although he is not a fan of computer games and did not own a personal computer at the time, he co-authored the expanded storyline and wrote much of the game's dialogue, all on a mechanical typewriter. Ellison also voiced the supercomputer "AM" and provided artwork of himself used for a mousepad included with the game.
