Welcome to the fourth Weekly Sale of the year! It's got business moguls, ruthless warlords, and unassuming spies. Let's go meet some of them.

There's no greater war than the one governed by the laws of the market. Whether you're just trying to establish your humble Restaurant Empire in the cutthroat world of eateries, or to reach the top in the rich man's world of Capitalism Plus, it's all about the money. Invest smartly, adhere to the market's needs, outmanoeuvre your competitors, and use all the tools of your trade. After all, watching the world from the top is as demanding as it is intoxicating.

Switching to the far less prestigious but arguably more friendly streets of 1880's colonial India, we follow street urchin-turned-spy Kim, as he tries to survive with stealth and smart dialogue choices. Rudyard Kipling's words are as beautiful as ever, but it's up to you how to use them.

Things are far less humane in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. zone, a bleak place where dignity goes to die. Recently things got even more interesting there, too, as Call of Chernobyl, an award-winning sandbox mod by TeamEPIC, was released, overhauling many of the game's subsystems in 32 fully explorable maps.

As always, there's more – including Warlords Battlecry 3, Cossacks 2 Anthology, and Seven Kingdoms up to 80% off. Plus, stay tuned for new games and deals this Friday!

The Weekly Sale will last until January 30, 5:00 PM GMT.

Weekly pop
Nothing for me in this promo. Will have a look at the added games on friday. :D
low rated
do away with the weekly sale and return to the tried and tested
high rated
Cossacks & American Conquest are great games; highly recommended to strategy fans. Also, STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl was one of the most immersive games I've played back then, which hasn't aged a bit due to the awesome mods. Recently I replayed it with the Complete mod installed and I had another great gaming experience with the updated graphics and various tweaks.

All in all, a good promo. Cheers!
Already have all the games ever wanted from this promo.
Good thing I do.

im not very into 3D shooters and rarely play any game until its end but this one i did
It would be nice to be able to filter weekly sales based on platform.

Be aware! Cossacks 2 does not work on win 10 - Based on a lot of comments.

Otherwise many good games in promo.

Vythonaut: Cossacks & American Conquest are great games; highly recommended to strategy fans.
I'm not very familiar with strategies, however I can remember C&C, Warcraft, Settlers, HoM&M, Dark Colony, Starcraft etc. from my childhood as quit nice entertainment. Is that a good idea to try one of those? How about difficulty level?

That weekly promos are really nice, because there is no entry conditions for discount. I'm not a great fan of strategies (more in crpg and p&c) and I'd never be able to take a full discount in big GOG sale's bundle. Weekly promos seems nice if you want to just try one or two titles from some new genres.

Do not forget to install dgVoodoo 2 if you want it to play without graphical problems on newer systems.

Do you also remember Age of Empires? They're quite similar games; both play in real time (gather resources, build stuff, gather your army, fight), both are exceptionally good looking, both feature historical campaigns as well as a skirmish mode. Of course there are some notable gameplay differences between AoE & Cossacks/American Conquest such as the army count (you can have thousands of troops on the battlefield), battle tactics (formations & morale), resources (there are more than AoE and function differently), the way soldiers are trained, but I think if you enjoy AoE and RTS in general, you'll enjoy Cossacks & American Conquest. The price they're offered right now is a steal in my opinion. As for the difficulty, I'd say both games are more on the difficult side compared to other RTS games, but they're quite entertaining nonetheless.

ps. I didn't mention Cossacks II because I don't have much experience with this game as with the first one or American Conquest.
