This week GOG.COM celebrates the imagination and resilience of game makers from France with a massive sale up to -90% on DRM-free games created and published by companies from the big Hexagon.

During The Baguette Days gamers can find crunchy deals for some of the best French titles ever made, classic and new, such as Dontnod’s bloody gem Vampyr (-60%), CCCP’s critically acclaimed Dead in Vinland (-50%), Ghost of a Tale (-33%) from DreamWorks veteran Lionel "Seith" Gallat or Quantic Dream’s visionary Omikron: The Nomad Soul (-75%) and Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) (-75%).

No French event could happen without the outstanding Ubisoft games like Anno 1404: Gold Edition (-75%), Beyond Good & Evil (-66%), and Rayman 2: The Great Escape (-66%). There's also the entire Might & Magic series available with discounts for single titles (-66%) or with a special 85% off discount when you complete your collection!

GOG.COM's ultimate collection of all-time French classics also includes titles like the legendary Arx Fatalis (-67%) which put Arkane Studio on the map upon its release in 2002, the entire Syberia series (-80%), Little Big Adventure and Little Big Adventure 2 (-75%), the Atlantis series (up to -80%) made by Cryo Interactive, the Alone in the Dark trilogy (-75%), Éric Chahi’s Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition (-75%) and Paul Cuisset’s Flashback (-80%), 1999’s tech marvel Outcast re-released in its 1.1 version (-67%), and more!

This week is also a perfect opportunity to discover games you never knew were created by French indie studios like the complex Prodigy Tactics (-50%), isometric tactical Fear Effect: Sedna (-90%) or the intriguing puzzle-games Blocks That Matter (-50%), and Tetrobot & Co. (-50%).

Finally, our good friends from Motion Twin have been secretly working on a very special item for Dead Cells (-20%) - a GOG GALAXY character skin! Owners of the PC version of the game will receive this special in-game item for free this Friday, July 12th.

The Baguette Days sale ends on July 15th, 10 PM UTC.
Why not Darkstone? It would have been a perfect candidate for a sale like this...
Edit: nvm, didn't notice the bundle discount.

Couldn't resist the Ubisoft and Might&Magic bundles.

I sometimes question my taste - I am almost exclusively drawn to games that I enjoyed, or would have enjoyed 10-20 years ago.

zaMNal: Does anyone know why Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (which is an Ubisoft title) is excluded from the Ubisoft Classics (-85%) Collection, while all other PoP games are included?
I'm inclined to say whim.

Crusaders of Might and Magic and Heroes chronicles are ommitted from the sale completely.

As are 40% of Rayman titles and 75% of Anno games are also absent.

Perhaps they weren't French enough.

Weird sale: is is about games that right now are owned by French distributor companies. There are games in there that cannot be more french as Flashback, Another World, Alone in the Dark or a good chunk of the Cryo catalogue, but you know, Outcast is Belgian, the Runaway games are Spanish, and Double Dragon is a Japanese classic, among others.

Not as weird or hilarious as the one that says "i never took France into account while talking about games" because most of the more innovative games in the late 80s and early 90s came from there (Flashback, Another World, Alone in The Dark as the sacred trilogy), and houses like Titus, Silmarils, Infogrames, Delphine, Loriciel or Cryo are as important to video games as french house was to electronic music.
My gut tells me to also buy the Ubisoft bundle, seeing discounts matching almost 3 year old previous lows...

But my reasonable side is against it because I have no interest in Prince of Persia or Anno.

Decisions, decisions :/

Crisco1492: Is Ubisoft also supposed to have an 85% bundle discount? 'cuz that's what I got.
Yes Ubisoft Bundle gives up to 85% discount :)
avatar
SirPrimalform: Actually no, it's not all. On topic, GOG seems to have an extremely loose definition of French. Aren't Frogwares (Sherlock Holmes) Ukrainian?
Because Plug In Digital is French :)

This is actually decided by Ubisoft, to either include a title in the bundle or not.

Anno 1404: Gold Edition unbundled price (75% off) has been adjusted and now matches the unbundled low.

Nice to see a comeback of the good old bundles, were games you already own count for the bundle discount. Thanks GOG! Unfortunately I already own all the games of the two bundles, otherwise I would buy them both, they are great deals.

Zoidberg: ps: this post has been edited at the request of gog support, in truth I haven't rebounded correctly on the "french are cowards" joke. Cheers all.
French people being "cowards" jokes are bad, now?

Lol....gog is truly becoming clown world.
avatar
Zoidberg: Better than nazi flags. ;P
avatar
Breja: I'm not sure what's the connection, but I can't disagree :D

Although in games its good to have some nazis. They are very satisfying to shoot :D This promo should includ The Saboteur - all the fun of visiting France AND shooting nazis in one game!
Lol....now also making fun of actual bad people is low rate worthy? Some people are messed up in their low rate choices.

mw.834515: if you install your program in french, do they run faster?
*SCNR* :-)
They do, but the smell is much worse.

avatar
Sulibor: Bratwurst promo would complement this one this nicely.
As long as we keep them seperate....for "reasons".

I give respect but I am also not above a good joke now and then(even at my own expense). I also think humor shouldn't be regulated and beaten until a dead medium by the PC crowd.

(Also the last one you quoted is a WW2 joke, not a dig at the french)

No, it was a dig at the polish, pot calling kettle black because Poland RIGHT now is a mess, like a lot of countries in the world unfortunately.
