mw.834515: Was always tempted to get a copy of Prison Architect, but I'm a bit sceptical, because of all those "has DRM in form of Paradox-Launcher" 1star-ratings (late 2019)
Another one (from 2020) says, you can uninstall the launcher afterwards and still play - I just dont want any launcher being installed or mandatory at all. I prefer to keep my system clean.

Anyone has first hand experience with the current version?
I havent bothered with the post-paradox-as-publisher version of PA yet, but assuming its the same as all other paradox games, the launcher is there to inform you of news, updates new dlc etc (and I think mods for some games too).

with all the other paradox published games I have (quite a few), you can happily never bother with it and just directly launch from the exe file / a shortcut to it as I remember. i know for certain none of the launchers require a net connection or account.

Edit: you might consider it a bit like the launchers for elder scrolls games, but with some adds / news I suppose.

Thanks for the infos! Still undecided thought - there are a few days left to sleep a night or 2 over my decision.
