Looks good, but the pile's too big as is.
Wow that's a really deep discount on Mirror's Edge! also EA should really bring more games here ;)

Spootenheim: Based on the context of the article, I think they meant "Games Perfect for Night Owls" rather than "Games Perfect for White Nights." Unless I'm missing something. Is there a joke here I'm not getting?
Yeah, I don't get what they meant.

David9855: Good time for people to pick up West Of Loathing.

Robette: Sell me on that one. I always see this pop up and was a bit surprised about it holding up its price point, is it actually good? :D
It's a fun 'RPG LIGHT' game, plenty of things to find and do; check out the trailer for it on the youtube and see if it's your thing; don't be put off by the art style though.
Why https://www.gog.com/promo/20200810_weekly_sale prices are changing during the sale period ?
https://www.gog.com/game/hand_of_fate_2 was 75% off when the sale started , today it is 50%
I had the games in my cart and wanted to pick up some more games before finalizing the purchase (says 4d left) but the prices went up.

Maybe they added the wrong discount? I remember that I was surprised to see Hand of Fate being more expensive than part 2, but thought it's maybe to get people to buy the DLC or so. Guess it was an error.

I have no idea. It was on Steam last month for 75% off.

Same. Not happy with GOG ATM.

*edit*

After looking at my cart above -- that still listed 75% off -- I went to checkout and (prior to paying) it was only 50%.

I understand things happen GOG, but this feels wrong. The terms of your sale change mid-sale?

GOG,

started a customer service ticket days ago over the changing pricing but have seen customer service is ATM like throwing a toothpick into a black hole. It's pretty clear you won't get back to me until long, long after the sale has ended. Well...

... a part of me feels that I'm over-reacting...

... but...

I waited patiently for a long time for the Hand of Fate games to go on sale and this situation has shown that...

1) you do not have adequate Customer Service ATM and that shows that you are not putting customers first

2) your communication is lacking on the forum -- you are willing to make changes in sale prices without even making the customers aware.

I was willing to make a $30 purchase but feel cheated suddenly looking at a $38 price tag (everytime I look at my cart and the old sale prices show, I bristle). I guess communicating was too much of an issue for the current GOG? So now I go from being annoyed and possibly completing a purchase ... to being actually angry and...

... not buying anything.

You lost an entire sale.

Changing sale prices... no customer service... almost no forum communication... I guess in retrospect those threads about GOG losing sight of your mission seem true.

Never heard back from GOG.

If you can't expect to hear back from GOG support in a timely manner -- especially on a very simple question regarding a current sale -- there's a problem.

I certainly understand staffing issues with COVID-19, but this is extreme. You're so "backed up" that you can't answer what is essentially a "yes" or "no" question? Is anyone minding the store!?

Add this to price changes DURING A SALE(!!!!)...

I used to have great experiences with GOG customer service. IMO it was one of the selling points of GOG.

Now I hear back from Fanatical and Gamersgate more quickly than GOG. Sheesh. Is this really happening!?

I've read and discounted a number of threads critical of the current GOG, but now I'm seeing it too.

If you (a store) can't adequately staff customer support, then I'll stop being a customer.

Yes, I value DRM-free games, but I have a lot of other hobbies and interests. I don't need to do business with a store that doesn't value its customers first-and-foremost.

Truly sorry about that discount mix up – it was a mistake on our part. We will do our best so this doesn’t happen again.

Unfortunately we are still dealing with an all-time high volume of tickets and our Support Team is doing all they can to answer each individual ticket in due time, but as you can imagine that is more difficult nowadays and delays are to be expected. It’s worth pointing out however that we take the date of submission into consideration and treat each case individually, so for example if someone was to contact us in regards to a refund (within the 30 day period or if there are issues during a sale), no matter whether that 30 day period has ended when Support replies, the refund inquiry is, of course, still valid. It just takes more time to process those requests, and I can totally understand how that may be an inconvenience.

Thank you for the response.

Lately it's started to feel like a communication / system breakdown... thank you for posting here and allaying fears (as well as replying to my support ticket). It's appreciated.

I still believe that there seem -- from the outside -- issues with GOG that would have seemed unheard of even a year ago, but I've stated my case and thank you for listening.

Again, I appreciate your response. Thank you again!
