War is definitely not good for much, but it has always inspired developers to create great video games. This time around, we don’t want to limit your imagination, so we are suggesting great war games in a whole range of different settings - from distant galaxies and alien planets to historical battlegrounds.

This Weekly Sale has it all!

Let’s start with an excellent experience for every kind of mecha fan. Of course, it’s Battletech (up to -66%), a turn-based tactical war game that takes place in the far future. You take command of your own mercenary outfit of 'Mechs and the MechWarriors that pilot them, struggling to stay afloat as you find yourself drawn into a brutal interstellar civil war. Looking for more in the wide world of robot games? The Surge (-55%) would also be a great pick during this sale.

If you're as fond of space games as we are, you shouldn’t miss Battlestar Galactica Deadlock (-60%). The game takes you into the heart of the First Cylon War, to fight epic 3D battles that will test your tactical prowess.

Okay…it’s probably enough of futuristic mechs or robots, you never know what to expect from. Let’s get back down to Earth. For those who’re in the mood for a bit of difficulty in a highly realistic military setting, we would recommend the award-winning World in Conflict: Complete Edition (-70%) that shows you what it would’ve been like if the Cold War erupted into World War III.

Check the list of all games with war machines of all kinds here.
The Sale lasts until October 28, 2PM UTC.
The general moved a couple of pieces around the map until he was satisfied. Within the next 37hours 17 000 men had died.

It would be nice to get the original MechWarrior games from Activision. The Battletech game is awesome, but it is tactical, which is different experience from an action focused game like the first MechWarrior.
Mech or mecha?

Western versus that other derogatory name for Japan fans that starts with a W.

Didn't know it before.
There's only one game that i'm interested from the current weekly sales and that's Shadowrun Hong Kong - Extended Edition because it's the only game that i don't own from the series .
a few Retroism games in there, shame we haven't gotten more of the Steam releases here. (besides Humongous titles obviously there are various others, like a jet sim)

Luftrausers I assume is still missing important updates
Would like The Surge: Augmented edition but not willing to pay this price when I own the base game on Steam already. Going to wait for a deeper discount.

Yaeh, I am interested in Luftrausers too, but it is not getting updates here :(
Nice sale.
Anyone know if this Strike Commander is any good?
